I have to say that all of the new material aired when I saw Axl was fucking incredible.

Not just good. Incredible.

Normally I don't slam stuff I haven't listened to. Axl just doesn't deserve my attention.

I like their music less as Axl took more control. The only indispensable GNR albums, in my opinion, are Appetite and the live album.

Use your Illusion has awesome songs, but I could pluck out a bunch of Axl's shit and make one badass album.

Its OK, I suppose. GNR was never absolutely my thing, per se, but they had some great material back and forth. Unfortunately, I've got to hang my hat on the same rack as the traditionalists - this is not really GNR so much as it's an Axl Rose solo project.

Of course, were he to release it under his own name, tour under his own name, or a new band name, it wouldn't do 1/4th of the business that it does under the name Guns 'n' Roses. I don't think there's much disputing that fact.
