According to Maine's WGME-TV, GUNS N' ROSES only sold 3,000 out of a possible 6,500 tickets for last night's concert at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland before the show was called off by the group. GUNS N' ROSES' management issued a statement blaming the cancellation on the "limitations imposed by local fire marshals." A GN'R spokesperson explained that the conditions "made it impossible for the band to perform their show to the usual high standards that their fans deserve."


If they were worth a fuck, they would have played anyway.

He made the major leap from gutter street rock band, to a giant production complete with grand piano and a bunch of pompous bullshit in one album.

Usually the transition takes a few albums before a band begins to go nuts with the overproduced bloated crap.

Sure it had it's moments, but Corporate Music Biz honchos were gleefully depositing truckloads of cash into their fat, bloated accounts, as they successfully maneuvered the band to release a power ballad as a single (November Brain).

Those couple of years showed me what a musical whore Axle Grease is. I wonder how many record company people he still has to blow every year to keep milking the GNR name until it is a used up husk....wait a minute....it is ALREADY a burned out shell......
