There are four boxed sets, the first two set for release on 7 November 2006 and the other two due on 12 December 2006. Each set will contain five Bond films, for a total of twenty when all the sets are released.

Actor Specific Box Sets / Special Collections

According to Play.com, three new James Bond ‘Ultimate Edition’ sets will be released on 27 November 2006:

the Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan box sets.

The Connery set will include all six of his official James Bond films, all seven for the Moore set and all four for the Brosnan set.

Also set for release on 27 November is The Ultimate Golden Triple Pack, which contains: Goldfinger, The Man With The Golden Gun, and GoldenEye.

I saw a show where they interviewd many of the Bond girls and the one that played Pussy Galore said that yes it did, freak out not only the conservatives but a whole bunch of people back then!

Aparently the Extras are really good on these DVD's. I'll probably get the Connery ones and then never get/take the time to watch them.

I will probably wait for the box sets by actor. Not interested in a mish-mash of different actors in one box set.

That way too if you wanna have your own personal james bomb festival, you can watch thwem all in order without having to constantly figure out which box set has the next one in chronological order.

Watch the Sean Connery box set first, then the Roger Moore box set, then the Timothy Dalton one.

I posted about this before, with a link to a detailed explanation of how the remastering process they used is above and beyond the standard process....and supposedly is gonna kick holy fucking ass!!

About the way I sizee them up too, unfortunate that they wouldn't release Brosnan from that shitty tv show so he could move on to Bond sooner. He was too old to keep the part for very long.

Dalton is and was the worst of them, but when you see him in the mideast headress in Afghanistan...he did look the part of a "local".

Moore's characters relied on too many gadgets and a white tuxedo. I'm not discounting Moore's movies, just that I didn't find him to be the best fit for as many movies as he did make.

I did like "Live And Let Die" and "Moonraker" though.

I do dig the opening of whatever flick it was (I think with Timothy Dalton) where he is doing some parachute hanglider type exercises in Gibralter or some fucking place, and he is gonna get killed by some fellow skydiver dude turned fucking traitor.....and he lands on some bitch's yacht just as she is talking on the phone complaining about how their are no real men around here (she needs to worship the chromium cob)......and bam...there he is.....she hands him a flute of champagne, they kiss....then he fucks the living shit out of her in front of the British naval destroyer that has arrived to pick him up......thus ensuring his legendary-ness amongst Her Majesty's Navy.....

It just always seemed to me Sean Connery's Bond was more ruthless....Moore was like, "Oh dear, I suppose I must karate chop you here.....try not to bleed on my Brooks Brothers suit".

Whereas Connery did not fuck around. Possibly due to superior acting abilities?

Notice though that there is no actual frontal nudity in James Bomb movies. Albert Broccoli decreed that an "R" rating would significantly reduce revenue, so he insisted there was to be no actual nudity in the film.

I have LOVED the intros in recent years. There was one a few years ago that looked like a lot of women's naked torsos with digital circuitry projected on them.

And I REALLY dig the intro to GoldenEye.....wif Miss Tina doing her vocal stylings to the max!
