I have cackled my ass off at that YouTube video of sheep that someone keeps posting in threads, where the farmer goes, "Shut Yo Ass Up!"
Got me to thinking, how did the term "sheep" get coined for Van Hagar lovers? I recall it being used at VHLinks many years ago, and at Slawterhouse to describe a lot of the riff-raff at Links, but don't know who started it or under what circumstances.
It's so perfect. I think of some of things Van Hagar fans spew -- saying Eddie could record his farts and they'd buy it, all the complicated theories about how Sammy isn't lying about record sales (usually involving detailed market analyses of CVH sales during the Van Hagar era and CVH sales benefitting from the transition from LP to CD), straight-faced assertions that "Up For Breakfast" is a great song, etc. etc. Sheep indeed.
So, anyone remember how it all began?
