I have a Wolfgang from 3/00, and the bridge pick-up finally kicked the bucket. It still works, but sounds like a really thin strat pick-up. So, anyone have an extra laying around, or know where I can go to get one? Should I contact Peavey directly?

Ebay, FOOL
Peavey is easy to deal with, contact the parts department. Or buy a Dimarzio. Tone Zone is similar.
This space for rent.
A Dimarzio PAF Pro would be a good suit for your Wolfie ... I have the 03' model ...
Broken down n' dirty dressed in rags ...
I would check the wiring on your guitar first. The pickup still may be fine. It sounds like a connection has worked loose somewhere. Pickups usually work or don't. The Wolfgang isn't wired to split the coils so a broken lead to the other coil should make the whole pickup useless.
It sounds like something is shorting out bleeding tone off somewhere like a capacitor does.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
Take the two leads from the pickup and check the pickup for continuity with a multimeter using the Ohms setting or if it has one, a continuity setting.
If the thing reads zero the pickup is broken. If you get an Ohm's reading or the continuity setting beeps, you have a good, working pickup.
Thanks for the input guys.. Seems the pickup died... it dosn't make noise, but sounds super thin. I was able to locate one from Peavey for $80. When i have it installed, I'll be swapping out the useless 'Tone' knob for a second volume knob controlling the bridge pick-up, and use the original volume knob for the neck pick-up.
That's what I did. I made the tone another volume control so you can get those Ace Frehley wiggle the pickup selector sounds.
They should have come from the factory that way. What color is yours? Here's a pic of what I'm working with: http://www.digitalcomplexion.net/vain/guitars2.jpgOriginally posted by Nitro Express

Mine is black. It's just like the one Ed plays in the Humans Being video.
Nice modded 5150 block lettered head. Those are becoming collectable with the kiddies right now.
Never seen that "girlie" color on a Wolfie before!?!? ... ouch ...
Girlie, my ass.... It looks awesome in person. The paint seems to have a silver base to it.. looks awesome when the light hits it. I prefer it over the 'me too' maple tops. In fact, there are only 150 in exsistance - 100 with the trem bridge, 50 with the solid. Respect the Seafoam!Originally posted by Eyes

Respect the Seafoam!
Worth a 5 star ...
I was only fookin' with ya V ...
It's all good... You learn to toughen up quick with a Seafoam guitar. (Not that there's anything wrong with that)Originally posted by Eyes

Is it scratch and sniff? Do you smell the beach when you scratch the paint?
It mostly smells like jager and beer.Originally posted by Nitro Express

Sepparately or after they were mixed in your stomach and puked back up? I guess if it was the later you would have a puke green Wolfgang. LOL!Originally posted by VAiN
