The 2007 'Hide Your Child' Tour

If this fucking drunk nuts look at my kid he's a lovely genius thing actually happens, there are going to be a bunch of rules under federal law.

    Rock n' fucking roll huh?

    http://www.stopchildlabor.org/USchildlabor/fact1.htm

    Minimum Age for Employment:

    Hours of Employment:

    * 14- and 15-year-olds may be employed outside of school hours for a maximum of 3 hours per day and 18 hours per week when school is in session and a maximum of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week when school is not in session. This age group is prohibited from working before 7 a.m. and after 7 p.m., except during summers when they may work until 9 p.m. (from June 1 through Labor Day)
No support band then and if you include the soundcheck a pretty short show....

    Hours of Employment:
Youth under the age of 16 are restricted from employment during school hours.
So only tours during school holidays. No world tour for Kiddie Van Halen.

    Hazardous Employment:
Youth under the age of 16 are prohibited from certain occupations and activities which the U.S. Secretary of Labor has determined to be hazardous. Contact the U.S. Department of Labor for more information.
    No Pyro's?

No performing with a mentally ill addict?

Is Roth allowed to say naughty words on stage?

    Cheers!

I see that law makes exceptions for "agricultural employment"..

If the rich fucks in this country can get away with writing their gas guzzling Hummers off their taxes as "farm equipment", then Eddie's lawyers will probably find a loophole which will allow them to claim Wolfie as an "agricultural employee".

For starters, they only play outdoor venues (which is likely on a summer tour anyway)

Interesting point. Kinda parallels the "will Ed get it together for this?" vibe.

    That's another story.

IMO, if this deal happens? Old #1 is in no mans land. I've had the chance to see Roth cuntractically obligated to "toning it down." Once at a family-orientated wild adventure, once @ a corporate gig. He stuck to the plan.

What will the Brother's demands cuntsist of, regarding on-stage commentary?

Will David Lee Roth not give a fuck?

Will his lawyers give a fuck?

Will t-shirt bootleggers' sell VHPG16 swag in the parking lots?

Will federal DFACS agents take cuntstody of Wolfie, citing some ancient tab-u-la-rosa?

    Who cares?

    I've already got tickets.

Not because of this tour. But maybe after he is a guest judge on American Idol.

Sorry, I thought the topic was child labor and whatnot. I thought Joe Jackson and the relationship with his famous family might be relevant.

Good to see the use of the hyphen is no longer a problem.

It's funny how nobody's asked Val what she thinks of Eddie dragging the kid out on the road. She must be busy making more movies for the Lifetime channel or something.

I belive she is helpless. He's almost 16-did you want to listen to your mom at 16?What Teen Wolf wants,he'll get.I don't think Ed's twisting his arm.

Look for Teen Wolf to enter rehab before it's over.

I hope no one keeps Dave in check.

I would assume so if other people are making money out of it.

This thread was half in jest because I think there are some exceptions allowed for entertainment to allow for child actors and stuff.

    I agree.

Wolfie might go along as Ed's guitar tech and appear for a few songs, but when it comes to throwing down the classic tunes, Mike will be on stage.

There's lots of time between now and May....

Funny thing is, if for some completely ilogical and ridiculously insane and abhorrent reason this actually works, you'll all be swallowing your words and licking Wolfie's feet for pulling his - alleged - dad out of the gutter.

I could really give a flying fuck who the bass player is...honestly.

My preference is Mike but he's too busy sucking Hagar's dick--so it may not be him.

I changed my mind!I know it aint much, but I just saw a clip on You Tube of the 2004 tour where I THOUGHT Ed was playing 316 until a large kid walked out onstage like he owned it with a guitar in his hands.Ed was laying down (not playing) and large kid kept it down so Ed could do some solo fill.
Granted, 316 is easy,But I doubt Mullet could play it that well.Maybe dad's right,Maybe this kid's got "it".Not everyone has "it".That was 2 1/2 years ago-he can only get better, right?I'm gonna rethink the whole Mike thing.Go see for yourself.I didn't get the link, just waited for "Hang 'em High"to end and got wolfie clips.

But on March 16 2007( hence the Van Hagar track 316) Wolfgang will be 16 years old. Thus those labor laws will no longer apply to him. He could even drop out of school if he wants.

Is Ed the next Joe Jackson? I could give a rat's ass.
If Ed treated Wolfie like Joe Jackson treated Michael Jackson, then Wolfie would have been playing with Van Hagar back in the mid-90's when he was 5 years old.

I think he was writing the lyrics back then, actually.

The laws don't mean shit as long as Wolfie is under the supervision of his father, who will be right there on stage with him anyway.
Rock and Roll isn't considered a job unless you are a roadie and on a payroll.
Musicians are not on any pay roll, they provide a service and get paid a fee for services rendered.
Technically, it isn't considered labor to play a guitar, bass, or drums in this country.
Of course, he'll be required to pay taxes on any cash recieved though.

Dad will be fully responsible for Wolfie on this tour, if he is actually on this tour.
Child Services could be another issue if things get out of hand in the presence of the wrong people though. He's still considered a minor in his home state.
Valerie will be in tow i am quite sure. she doesn't strike me as dumb on the Rock Touring Lifestyle.

Besides, has anyone else noticed that Ed is still wearing his wedding ring? LMMFAO...

That's an insult to Wolfie's lyrical ability.
