Instead of Mike we get a 15 year old kid who looks like he was in Hanson.

Instead of mass media hysteria, we get a little message on a website.

Instead of a pure full-on CVH re-union we get water in our beer.


Are the Van Halen brothers puttin the thumb down on the CVH legend? Is this the final mind-fuck to the fans who've been loyal to DLR and CVH?



But wait......what if they called it something else....would that preserve the legend...would that make us more apt to fork over the money for tickets and merch? Would it make us feel any better?


And if so, any ideas for the name?

Man, since 1985 there's been so much shit put out under the name 'Van Halen' that it really doesn't MATTER anymore.

I'd say this version deserves to be called Van Halen more than the other two non-CVH lineups, and that's only because a) Dave's there and b) he's surrounded by Van Halens.

At this point, it matters less what it's called and more how it sounds.
