Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday afternoon after collapsing in her hotel room in Florida, her attorney confirmed to MSNBC.

Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST and was intubated at the scene.

On Tuesday, Smith and the diet products company TrimSpa Inc., for which she is a spokeswoman, were sued in a class-action lawsuit alleging their marketing of a weight loss pill is false or misleading.

Smith also was order by a judge to have baby daughter undergo paternity testing. The test is being sought by Smith's former boyfriend Larry Birkhead, who claims he is the father of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. She was born Sept. 7 in the Bahamas.

Less than a week after the birth of her daughter, Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel died in her hospital room while visiting Smith after the birth. An coroner's report ruled the death was caused by an overdose of anti-depressants and methadone.

Smith married Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II in 1994, when she was 26 and he was 89. He died the following year.

She then feuded with Marshall’s son, Pierce Marshall, over her entitlement to the tycoon’s estate before he died in June at the age of 67.

In the long-running dispute, Smith had won a $474 million judgment, which was later cut to about $89 million and eventually reduced to zero. In May, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Smith could continue to pursue the fortune in federal courts in California despite a Texas state court ruling that Marshall’s youngest son was the sole heir.

I see a movie/book deal in the making.

1) She marries an old billionaire and inherits a fortune
2) She fights the stepson for the fortune. Said stepson dies. Money is still tied in the court system.
3) Has a child fathered by photographer pal or lawyer. Paternity still not determined.
4) Her son, possible heir to this fortune, mysteriously dies shortly afterward.
5) Is in battle with her photographer over recognition that the newborn is is the product of their coupling.
6) Anna mysteriously dies.

Now the question is, since all persons involved in the inhertance are dead who gets the millions now? Of course the next of kin comes to mind, her newborn daughter. But this leaves the question of who the guardian of this child is.

I say the lawyer killed them all one by one leaving him the sole guardian of this inheritance through the newborn.

Shit, there's no shortage of criminals in Florida. The BCE runs the state, for fucks sake.

I think her lawyer's looking damn suspicious right now.

First Pierce Marshall drops dead, leaving Anna Nicole as her old geezer husband's heir.

Then her 20 year old son dies.

Then Sleazeball K. Ambulance Chaser claims to be her baby's father.

With the baby being Anna Nicole's next of kin, that makes her one rich baby. And if the lawyer's claim of being the kid's daddy stands, then all it takes is one case of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome to give him the fortune.

Or if he ACTUALLY gives a shit about the kid, he sets up a bunch of trust funds, naming himself as a well-paid trustee, of course.

Either way, only one guy seems to benefit from all of Anna Nicole's recent tragedy.

Well...39's too young for anybody to die, talentless or not. She certainly lead a train wreck of a life. Unfortunately, with all of her drug and alcohol excesses, it doesn't come as much of a surprise.

At least she's back with her son.
