    WRIF Detroit

The people at WRIF 101.1 Detroit are calling the Van Halen tour a go with at least 1 stop in Detroit.

Do we? We also thougth it was a go back in 1996, but apparently that was all for the "Best Of" release. I give nothing for these guys to give it to us fans again. Funny how there is another "Best Of" to be released this year? Sound familiar to 1996?

                  they oversold the lawn....

It was like a huge main floor.....

                  I have a feeling it's gonna happen again:p

If they are only playing outside, it makes sense. I can see a couple of shows, if they sell out

THe question isn't "Will they sell out"....

BUt rather..."How FAST will they sell out?"......which will be in minutes...

NOT 3 months...like the 2004 FLEECE THE SHEEP tour...which DIDN'T SELL OUT....not in DETROIT BABY!!!

I remember watching the EEAS tour in Detroit, and the people there went ape shit over the concert. When I saw VH in 1982 at Cobo, it was wicked, pacted to the roof!

                          No it is NOT 'official'.

This crap is so precarious that there is no guarantee they will even get to the starting line.

Blah Blah Blah, etc., etc., etc.

The only thing that is 'official' is that they say Dave will tour with them this year.

For all we know their could be a riot on the stage at the Hall Of Fame ceremony.

When they actually begin to play shows, THEN, and ONLY THEN will it be official.

                            Point taken.

But its still more 'official' than what was said in '96 ('Van Halen in studio with David Lee Roth').
