    Rush and Scorps Release Dates

The new Rush album, Snakes And Arrows, is released by Atlantic Records on May 1, preceded by a single called Far Cry on March 13.

North American tour planned for later in the year, other European probably in early 2008.

The Scorpions seem set to call their new Desmond Child-produced album Humanity - Hour 1. It’s due on May 14 through BMG Records.

Although, Michael Winner seemed to be replacing Herman that night.

    Cheers SP!

I liked the last Scorps record, but the thought of Desmond Childs producing fills me with the terror that we'll get and overblown, and over complicated soun, rather than a stripped-down full on rock tour-de-force....

Can't wait for the Rush album. I've totally lost track of what The Scorpions do these days - is it still power ballads and the like or is there anything worth checking out?

Jeez, who, in 2007, gets their album produced by Desmond Child?

Hopefully he didn`t write any of it.

Desmond Child has written some great songs.
Wish they would have hired Mutt Lange or Bob Rock.
I like a number of their last albums. But, it's not what it use to be.

The last album (Unbreakable) was mostly classic (albeit, slightly darker) Scorps.

But, they've always done the ballads...even when Uli Jon Roth was there.

    Highly reccommend it.

Will check it out. Never been more than a casual fan of the Scorps, even though they were one of the first rock bands I ever heard.

It's GRATE cos they updated their sound without losing the Spirit of the Scorps.

Yep, and one of the few bands who have successfully done it....

Can't wait for the next tour.
