Fair Warning's "Dirty Movies" so Underrated!!

THis is a killer CVH that gets unnoticed. no airplay, never used in concert except the FW tour!!

I agree with you. I love that song. Great groove to it.
Three time witness to the comeback of the MIGHTY VAN HALEN. And then they faded back into obscurity.

I don't know if it was ever played live or not, though...that could just be rumour and speculation...imagine that...

        Check it out dude...

I moved your thread to where it belongs and people found it and replied to it...

Ain't it neat how that works ??

My point is this: Everytime you think of taking a piss, you don't need to post it in main...

I just don't think 'Dirty Movies' is under-rated in any way. Certainly not by me and the loads of CVH fans I've known over the years. Yea sure, most fans seem to maybe like other songs off Fair Warning better, but I love 'Dirty Movies' quite a lot. I'd even go as far as to say that sometimes I have found myself actually getting slightly impatient for Mean Streets to end so that DM could begin. It will always be a superb tune with DLR's soaring supreme vocals making it far from an under-rated gem on my card.
Music is like girlfriends to me; I'm constantly amazed at the choices other dudes make----DLR

That is probably my favorite VH song. It's sex driven, but it also has a dark atmosphere to it. It's almost kind of eerie. That would be a tough one to pull off live. I doubt they've ever done it. The intro has about three or four guitars going at once at one point. That has to be the best drum sound of '81.

Don't have it on any of my FW boots. But I agree it's a great tune.

DM was prob to slow or to unstructured to play live ... DM is not overeated because it isn't that great of a song or else we woulda saw glimses of it in setlists in years past ...
