I'm sure the tour with Dave will still happen in the future. I hope Ed gets his life cleaned up. I wouldn't want to pay high dollar for tickets to see CVH if Ed isn't playing up to his tremendous standards. The worst thing that could possibly happen is for him to ultimately lose his battle with alcaholism and die. As a human being, a fan and guitar player inspired by him, I'd like him to be around for a long time to come.
There is a part of me that's very proud of Dave for staying well for all these years. Ed can say what he wants about Dave, but Dave is going to outlive him.

The chances of a successful, real Van Halen reunion are still small. But it will never happen unless Ed gets sober, ditches the porn ho, and gets a fundamental grasp on reality...
Finally some good news. Ed is going to get the help he needs. This is FANTASTIC news. Now he can get his shit together first of all for himself. Then secondly for us and reuniting with DLR. Maybe an album could fall out instead of the tour because he can't tour when he gets out. I'm not rushing him to do anything, don't get me wrong, he needs to do this for himself.

Tis may be why the tour was cancelled...they knew Ed couldnt perform at all and would be a major mistake if it happened. I do think we will hear something with Ed, Alex and Dave at some point thats if Ed can really get it together..

BUT I TOLD YOU GUYS HE WAS IN NO CONDITION MENTALLY OR OTHERWISE TO TOUR.
But I got called a naysayer, blah, blah.....
ONE good thing that may come of this from personal band experience, is usually they come out alot more HUMBLE and easier to deal with on a professional level.
The BUMMER, is you then can't enjoy your own party in front of them. Which really blows because there ARE those of us who can have a good time, still make the show, and not kill people while driving or ruin relationships. We know when to say when.
I haven't read first hand any Porn Gunt Releases, and I haven't read Dave's take on this, so all I can say for now is I TOLD YOU SO.
