No, I was saying that he must not have stayed sober long if OU812 was the result.

Balance (which we know was recorded during his last attempt at sobriety) certainly turned out a lot better, at least in terms of Eddie's guitar playing.

AGREED! I've worked in the musical instrument business for decades, and the kids still love Ed's playing.

            No offense to you...

But is that why the 2004 tour soldout so much? All those fans that love Eddie's playing?

No offense taken. I was referring to kids who buy musical gear. (I develop guitars and amps)

Yeah....PEARL JAM...know who they are kid? They covered RUNNING WITH THE DEVIL on those live bootlegs that made the rounds a couple years back.......your hip to that right?

Don't believe that to be true. The kind of music Van Halen played is looked down on howdays and has been for years.

VH is often thrown in with the hairbands even.

I don't care if you believe it or not, in all honesty. It pretty much shows exactly how much you know. NADA

I don't listen to modern rock. I do however listen to neo soul. Jill Scott lyric wise runs circles around Eddie and Dave with ease.

Well, I hope Ed gets his shit together, I really do.

Chances of a VH reunion this summer? Slim to none.

It's the time frame: Ed has to complete re-hab, then they have to organise and book the tour, and then practice.

Unless they want to hold off and tour in the Autumn....

Maybe VH is meaningful in the great state *snicker* of Alabama, but I if you think Eddie or Van Halen is still meaningful now, your out of touch with reality.

That's not surprising... That tends to happen as you get older.

True. The songs were awful, but Ed took his playing to some interesting places and brought out some beautiful tones on that one...
