Same with Bonham, Morrison, Bonn Scott, Keith Moon, etc. Yeah, EVH might not be as influential as he once was with the kids, but neither is Les Paul, Scotty Moore, or Chuck Berry. Their influence, however is there whether these dumb kids realize it or not.

what I am saying is, if VH told the hall that Ed couldn't play, but the rest of them were planning on playing...it would have went down that way. Its because of all of the last minute BULLSHIT and game playing and plan changing that the hall said NO.

obviously it meant alot to Dave to play, based on his quote...did you read it? He said he has been looking foward to perfoming for months and it tears his heart out not to go!

Why is Dave making a big deal about playing?

This honour is for Van Halen so if he cannot play with VH (Ed rehab Alex tounge up Eds ass) then why not sit back chill out watch VR say some nice things about him/them etc then Dave goes and collects the award on behalf of VH.

Not alot of African Americans will watch a show based on ROCK hall of fame just because GrandMaster Flash and the Furious Five will be there. Sounds more like a Hip Hop Hall of Fame. Although GrandMaster Flash, if they perfrom, will now be the show without VH.

All the people that listened to Patti Smith, they're vegetables, killed themselves or are still fucked up on their psych drugs so they won't be watching.
