As for booze? None. I was an occasional drinker years ago, but after having kids and seeing as my brother is an alcoholic I decided to nix it altogether.

Yeah, I know all about the suicidal tendencies associated with thes types of meds. It's never affected me that way, though. Like I said, it's a small dose(20mg) compared to what a lot of people take. In fact, one of my closest friends revealed to me recently that he takes 100mg of Zoloft every day!!!!!!!! Holy shit.

We watch Noggin and that's about it for TV. The rest of what they watch is old musicals/DVDs...Sound Of Music, Mary Poppins, old Shirley Temple movies, Annie, My Fair Lady, The Wizard of Oz.

The old stuff is easier for their brains to digest. The frames are slower. A lot of the newer Hollywood kid movies and shows are too fast and have too many frames per minute. It's no wonder so many kids these days have ADD. I believe it's a direct result of the approach that TV takes toward kids and all it does is turn them into zombies.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my television completey. No joke.

This is no joke...my mother bought some new movie for my kids. I think is was some digitally animated Care Baears bullshit. After about 10 minutes my kid looks at me and says, "Daddy, my eyes hurt. Can you turn this movie off?" I couldn't believe it.

I am willing to bet a lot of money that this new technology they have for animation, and how herky-jerky the motions are, plus all of the fast frames, are partly responsible for the behavior of kids these days.
