Check out this video of Eddie Van Halen playing the Beat It guitar solo (arguably the greatest guitar solo ever) live with Michael Jackson in the mid 1980s.

The video is hilarious. He COMPLETELY butchers his solo. It is a complete disaster and embarassment. It is obvious that he is totally trashed. If he has been this way for 25+ years rehab may not do the trick.
