If Ed gets is ego to tour.....

I think Stryper is one band that kick ass on a live show. I know people bag the christian rock band from the 80's but they sure can throw down. They need to open for VH that's my perfect concert. What do you think?

If the above video is any indication, I would say Stryper has aged far better than most of their 80's contemporaries. And they were better than most of them anyway, transvestite bee costumes aside.

That said, I definitely do NOT see them on a bill with Van HALEN.

Now Living Colour, on the other hand......

.... that would be a Hell of a show.

I saw Living Colour open for the Stones at Veteran's Stadium in Philly a long time ago. They got pissed because they didn't get a good response from the crowd. Good band but I never liked Vernon Reid's lead playing.

Ok, to answer the main question...Fuck Stryper or rather To Hell With The Stryper. They're not good, they weren't good, fuck 'em.

I think they should have Velvet Revolver open for VH so each and every CVH fan in every fucking city can throw bottles and cherry bombs at those disrespectful, talentless fuckfaces!!!!!

Can I get a hell yeah??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about this. There's not but only one band i want to hear about on a VH tour, and thats VH. Pretty much every band that has come after them has been nothing but a ripoff disgraceful copy.
NO opening act, just pure CVH.

I hear what your saying but...

If you have not been to a stryper show, well I can understand the way most of you are thinking. But I saw stryper three times and they simply blow ya away.

Yes. Stryper is cool. God is cool. lmao

Dave should jerk off some quarts of milk on the front row sinners and Stryper can come lick it off. Nope. Wrong show. Nevermind.

I would compare Stryper and ANY Christian rock to this:

working a 16 hr day outside in the blistering sun without breaks and having to shit like you've never shit before. Finally reaching the throne all you plop out is a small hard turd about the size of Flappo. ()

Its just very VERY unsatisfying, not worth the wait, unjustified & still stinks like Hell.

Stryper and Van Halen that's like oil and water....they don't go together. Never got into Stryper...looked like a bunch of chicks, and Michael Sweet's voice reminds me too much of Dennis DeYoung. Plus, I can just see them singing "Honestly" to a Van Halen crowd....they'll barely make it off the stage alive.

Stryper's power rockers aren't bad. "To Hell with the Devil" & "Free" are pretty good.

Good point. I liked Stryper for the most part, but that song was as horrible as any cheese ballad Sammy spewed out.

I liked some stryper but why not just start throwing out all one/two hit wonder bands back then like Dokken, Y&T, Saxon, Britny Fox, W.A.S.P, Anthrax, Fastway (ya, you remembr fastway), Slayer, Quiet Riot blah blah blah. Any of them would be good opening bands and many are still playing and alot of the bigger, top bands of the day, are making new music coming out this year. Can't have those though because you can't have a top bill band for opener. Need the one/two hit wonder bands or less to open as I mentioned above. or just go with some no name pile of shit band that was absolutely horrible opening up as VH did all the time.

Fastway would be best for memories sitting down in the basement letting the pool table get full of beer playing chandiliers, sink the ship or quarters, cranking up those guitar amps with the old dial pioneer fused receiver to Fastway, VH, Kiss, while the beer bong was flowing over by the washing machine and toking one up then having buddies mom come home after bingo yelling, "Jimmy!, I told you not smoke that shit in the house!" HEY! dont fucking bogard that fucker! Then off to watch some cheech and chong and then stumbling home to passout just to start all over again the next night.

I liked this one. They were the only Zeppelin wannabe band of the 80's I could really stand.

Doubt they would get back together though. Apparently they fucked over the singer really bad, he was homeless for a while and eventually found his way out of it, and is now singing in an Irish punk band called "Flogging Molly"

    Maybe they could open?

NO, Mike Tramp is still touring. And from what I've heard, he sucks. But if the original White Lion was together that would be interesting. And just in case Mikey doesn't come back, their bass player knows the Van HALEN catalog.

So does their guitarist, apparently....... He sounded more like Eddie than Eddie did in the late 80's.
