Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

    How can anyone predict that?

You can say if a band is going to put out five classic records and conquer the world, it's just not predictable.

Plus, Classic Rock was a style form the 70s and 80s: there are plenty of decent bands who play that music now, and I like them, but they are playing homage to a sound of the past. The classic bands of this recent years will be the ones who invent a unique style and sound.

    Binne,

I was not asking for predictions, I am asking for bands around today that play in the vein of (sound similar to) Zep. Sabs, Budgie & purple etc.

    With Hammond Organ as well!
"With a rate of fire of over 20 rounds per second, the IMI Micro Uzi is almost as fast as Yngwie Malmsteen, and 25.4 times more musical"

    Worst of all... It's true..

    Ok, sorry I misunderstood.

    Some suggestions:

    Buckcherry

    Crystal Pistol

    Backyard Babies

Hardcore Superstar (the self titled album is the best)

    Clark County Daredevils

    Black Stone Cherry

And for a band who have a classic rock feel to them, with an updated sound, try Bullets and Octane (their record last year was fuckin great.)

No, I'm with you on that.

They are like The Datsuns to me: listenable, but not great.

It's not the band but the hype that they get which annoys me: all been done before bigger and better......

I can handle "Dimension" and "White Unicorn". Beyond that, the album is a loss for me...I get about halfway through "Woman" before I take it out and throw it across the room in disgust...

Finally, a band with 4 distinctive perosnalities on stage.

Wolfmother = I actually like em.
Ok vocals can get a bit tedious, but for a 1st album i thought it was good. Am hoping for big things from the 2nd.
