Bertinelli Stuns Boyfriend with TV Vasectomy Revelation
Actress Valerie Bertinelli has found herself in trouble with her boyfriend after revealing on live TV Monday that he has had a vasectomy.
The actress, who rose to fame on the '70s sitcom "One Day at a Time," was a guest host on morning show "The View" when she revealed she had just missed her period, suggesting she was hitting menopause.
When host Barbara Walters hinted that she might actually be pregnant, Bertinelli blurted out, "I'm not pregnant," pointing at her shocked lover, who was seated in the front row of the studio audience, and adding, "He's had a vasectomy."
The actress and the studio audience found the revelation hilarious but her stunned boyfriend wasn't laughing. Instead, he shook his head and stared in disbelief at his partner.
As the laughter died down, Bertinelli got serious, saying, "I just realized my father and my son are watching this, so I just have to really shut up."

TMI. Sounds like her boyfriend actually has some dignity and values privacy.

well, at least she didn't point at him and say "he shoots blanks".

I saw that and he looked like he wanted to strangle her. Seriously.

Valerie hasn't been the same since she ate MacKenzie Phillips...

Wow. She'd better not be pregnant.

Has she *done* anything in the last 30 years?

Sounds like she took the same drugs as Eddie. Wonder if they still look the same.

She does the occasional Lifetime TV movie and is the new spokesperson for Jenny Craig (alongside Kirstie Alley). I saw the ad last night!

Yep, she's a bit of a chub, but still very cute.
I bet she will trim down nicely and look great.

Show of hands, how many guys have used the "you won't get pregnant, I've had a vasectomy" line?

I wonder if she'll keep us posted on what her internal plumbing is up to next month.

Isn't she going to be the new Weight Watchers fat chick, I mean spokesperson?

Eddie's dumber than Vince Neil, and it took Valerie how long to figure that out?

I have seen that commercial a bunch and it says she wants to lose 30 pounds. Umm, maybe you need to rethink that and make it 50!! She still is bubbly but now it is sad. The bubbly fat friend....

Oh she's not that fat. The real question is if she's any fun.

Oh dear....this is why it's always best to avoid discussions of very personal stuff. DUH!

She just emasculated him in front of a couple million people. Oops!
Posted By: Redbull | April 10 2007 at 07:41 PM
My husband loves to tell everyone he got the big v, but then he holds my purse for me and if someone dissed him for it he'd give them a look that would shut them up in a second. A real man can't be emasculated.

I really do not see the big deal. Guys are so funny about this stuff. I respect any man who takes responsibility like that - it says a lot.

I feel so bad for her. Totally could have said the same thing. I think she just got caught up like you do when you're "with the girls" and I'm sure she had no idea her boyfriend would have had that reaction. I bet she'd give anything to suck those words back in. I do feel really bad for her boyfriend but feel just as bad for her.

I'm sure he'll be making comments about her chubby meat curtains in some rag like the enquirer soon enough. and i love how kirstie disses on her in the WW commercials.
