...It's a 10db gain boost..I use it to give a little extra ooomph to my 'Marshall' (Rhy.2) channel, and for solos....doesn't really boost the highs...

Not sure if I agree with you on the dumping tons of cash into cheap guitars, though...it's it's got a plywood body, putting great pickups/hardware on it is pretty much turd-polishing....

I put this together over the winter, I got the plani wooden body off ebay and unfortunately the bath size hole that had been routed out of the body meant I had to partially cover it with a scratchplate once I'd painted it. It's a warmoth neck and as soon as I get bigger balls I'm gona rout out the neck to fit the locking nut. It sounds great and is a lot of fun to play. Maybe not in public though! Gona make more realistic frankenstrats as soon as I cream off enough money from our account behind my wifes back!

I completely agree. I got the Strat because I did not want to spend a ton on my first guitar and end up not enjoying it. Now that I have progressed in my skill level, I am going to buy a new guitar very shortly.

The Lipsticks sound very vintagy. Low output and ver percussive, nice attack.

It's not a Kramer. It's a custom job and one of a kind. Next to that is my first Les Paul. It's a "Goddess" model. I just loved that purple sunburst and the lighter mohogany. Fuck, Gibson's are spendy...

Yes, I have a "5150" replica but it's in pieces. I'm not satisfied with the Floyd and the action's all fucked up. I'll post a pic when it's back up and running.
