Bring back Brett Tuggle to the DLR Band.

If the reunion fails again. I say Dave should go back on tour with his greatest lineup. Dave, Ray, Lomenzo, Hiketa, B Young, and of course add Brett Tuggle to the mix. I've seen Dave a couple times live, and the keyboard sound of Tuggle on JLP and some other songs were purely lacking. Tuggle is a mastermind on the keys, and without him Dave seems to lack dimension. The magic of live performs of such all-time classic like, "Goin Crazy" and "JLP" sound rather lame without the keyboard Virtuoso Brett Tuggle. I would also like to suggest alot more Skyscraper songs on his setlist, because that is his best album.

He also help co-write alot of YFLM. I think he was a good studio guitar player, even though he turned out to be shit in Marylin Manson.

Every once in awhile one runs across someone who says something along the lines of Dave should hook up with Tuggle again.

Personally, while I don't hate the guy, I never really agreed that he was one of Dave's better songwriting foils. The Roth stuff I enjoy the best is more guitar oriented, and the keyboards are low in the mix...like on EEAS, where you can hear them in the background on Yankee Rose, Tobacco Road and Ladies Night In Buffalo, but they're not mixed up front on a parity with the guitar a la Skyscraper.

Or even the DLR Band album, where outside of Blacksand all the rest of the tunes are just brimming with loud, rock guitar.

I'm done with the VH tribute guitarists, aka B Young, Walsh, etc. We need a real player. John 5 is awesome, but I think he's more into the "goth"/Manson/ Rob Zombie thing right now. A great dedicated original guitar player for some original music.

how is this bret tuggle's fault? didn't dave produce skyscraper? i think he brought alot to dave in terms of background vocals and songwriting besides his keyboard work. dave's production was to blame here.
