Alice Coopers VH lineup

I just landed in K.C. and got in the rental car and flipped on the radio.

Alice Cooper has his own show and after playing "Take your whiskey home", made his case for what the next Van Halen lineup should be:

Band Name: WolfGang

Eddie: Guitar

Wolfgang: Bass

Lead singer: Paul Rodgers

Drummer: Anybody they come up with


Paul Rodgers kicks ass in my opinion, but I think Alice had that Boa wrapped around his neck too tightly years ago and deprived his brain of oxygen. :confused:

Even worse is how he still prattles on about how much of an alcoholic he used to be. Yes, Alice, you 'used to be' cool. Now go run off and practice your golf swing.

Kinda like Aerosmith in that respect, where they still bring up in every interview how they were the 'Toxic Twins' and did a lot of coke and smack twenty five years ago, like it's gonna somehow give them some retroactive street cred: "Hey, we used to be bad-asses! Keep that in mind while we churn out another mindless power ballad written by Desmond Childs and produced by Glen Ballard."

Guys, take a deep breath. Alice was joking. He always says shit like that during his show. It's meant in fun. One time he was talking about snow in the forecast somewhere and then he said " Speaking of snow, here's a band that I'm sure did plenty of snow, Led Zeppelin."

Last week he ragged on Hagar. He played Meanstreet and afterwards, said "That was a tune by the REAL Van Halen; not the evil imposter of later years...."

Funny you mention Alice though because I thought he would be a really cool opener for CVH if it ever happens.

Dave was pretty darn good on the radio...

Alice is not bad, but frankly, I was expecting better due to the fact that he's knowledgable and was always a good talk show guest...

But Dave was way better at conducting an interesting interview...
