has anyone here ever seen this disc? i saw someone had it and i dont know if it is like a boot or an official release. ive been lurking on here for about two years and i have knowledge on almost all things van halen in the dave years but have never seen this. anyone care to enlighten me? and p.s. van hagar is garbage.

There is no such thing as an official live Van HALEN album.

Not yet anyway.

So that one must be a boot. Probably a compilation of some of the better recordings, like the 3 Oakland 81 songs, the Kirshner vids from 79, etc.

pretty good quality on some of the older stuff.

IMO there is no point in listnening to a lot of the live stuff from 81 one just bc your can hear it one cd with better quality, stick to the early live stuff that will never be released. its really cool to hear songs like Voodoo Queen which is the basis of Mean Streets
