Howdy fight fans. Here's one for all you crazy UK boxing freaks . November 13th manchester MEN will be host to what is dubbed the Battle of Britain seeing WBA champion The Hayemaker David Haye taking on olympic gold medalist A Force Audley Harrison. Now im more of a casual boxing fan today but a few years back i was big into it and i must say this fight is being built up to be a classic.Haye and Harrison are one time bud's but things have recently turned sour. Harrison states Haye failed to help him out with a place on an undercard when he was in need,Which got him pissed after Harrison gave the younger Haye advice in his early career.Haye has been running his mouth to the press about what he is going to do to harrison saying " It will be violent but prolonged. A public execution. He must be crazy and delusional because he genuinely seems to believe that he can win this fight. The only respect I can give him is that he kept going all these years even though he was a laughing stock".A true Rocky and Apollo build up if ever i seen one.Now my personal feeling is that Haye will knock him the fuck out, Considering his previous record for knocking big ass monsters out.Should be cool

      Any one interested?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. arrested on felony theft charge in domestic case

Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was arrested Friday in Las Vegas and charged with felony theft related to a domestic violence complaint filed by a former girlfriend.

Mayweather, 33, was booked Friday on a grand larceny charge and was held on $3,000 bail, Las Vegas police Officer Bill Cassell told the Associated Press.

Richard Wright, Mayweather's attorney, said the boxer was accused of taking an iPhone from Josie Harris, the mother of three of his children. "He did not commit any grand larceny," Wright told the AP.

On Thursday, Harris made a police complaint and sought a Family Court protection order and alleged that Mayweather punched her in the head and twisted her arm.

First ducking Pac-Man (someone he should be able to destroy with ease), making racist comments about him (referencing the WRONG RACE, btw... lol) and now this? WTF is up with Floyd lately?

This is a mis-match, to be honest. Audley may have been a good amateur, but he's done next to nothing as a professional in the past 10 years, being beaten by some guys that Haye would even use as sparrin partners. There's always the chance that Haye gets tagged by a big shot and KO'ed, but in all liklihood this will end in a brutal stoppage for him - I'll be surprized if Audley lasts 2 rounds.

Mayweather's conduct is disgraceful. It is also calculted.

He plays the villain to sell PPV - he realizes a lot of fans shell out in the hope he'll be beaten. Personally, I think the Pacquiao fight is inevitable, and when it happens Mayweather will outbox him easily.

Pacquiao is being a bit of a diva himself at the moment. Fighting Margaritto is a joke - the guy has had one comeback after 18 months off! Added to that, Pacman is enforcing yet another catchweight to ensure that yet another opponent enters the ring weakended. Joke.

It's also a shame that Kessler has had to pull out of the Super Six because of a repetive cut above the eye. After the Froch victory, he seemed to be back on track and I for one was looking forward to watching him demolish Allan Green en route to the semi-final. He has take a year out - that kind if inactivity cannot be good at this stage of his career.

Looks like Froch has hurt his back and is now going to have to delay the fight with Abraham. Unfortunately, the Super Six is turning into a mess. Ditto on your Audley mismatch post.

Mayweather is in some serious trouble. I didn't catch the entire story on ESPN, but he's looking at at least 8 charges, including threatening his children.

EDIT: Here's an update from the ESPN site...

                  Floyd Mayweather charged

Eight charges -- including two felony counts of coercion for threatening his children -- have been filed in Nevada against Floyd Mayweather Jr. stemming from a domestic violence incident last week, according to reports in Las Vegas.

Mayweather also has been charged with a felony count of robbery and one of grand larceny, in addition to four misdemeanors -- one for battery domestic violence and three for harassment, according to reports in the Las Vegas Review-Journal and the Las Vegas Sun.

According to a police arrest report made public Monday, Mayweather threatened to kill 30-year-old Josie Harris and her new boyfriend during an argument early Sept. 9 at a home in southwest Las Vegas, and stating, "I'm going to have you both disappear," according to the report.

Mayweather's lawyers on Monday denied wrongdoing on his behalf.

"We are confident the full picture will come out in the future and clarify the situation," defense attorney Karen Winckler said.

According to the police report, Mayweather was angry about her relationship with another man, and both say Mayweather grabbed Harris by her hair, hit her and twisted her arm while yelling that he would kill her.

The couple have three children, ages 7 to 10. Harris told authorities they had a 15-year "on and off" relationship, and lived together for seven years before separating in May.

Police say Mayweather threatened to beat the children if they left the house or called police.

According to the police, Koraun Mayweather, the oldest child, said he saw his father "hitting and kicking" his mother. When Koraun tried to run from the house, James McNair, an associate who had accompanied Mayweather to the house, blocked the door, the Review-Journal reported.

The newspaper also reported that according to the police account, Koraun fled through the back door, climbed over a security gate and asked for help from a guard.

Harris was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.

Mayweather, 33, was arrested and jailed briefly Sept. 10 on an original charge of felony grand larceny for allegedly stealing Harris' iPhone. He was released that day on $3,000 bail, and the district attorney's office said at the time that it was reviewing other charges.

A court date for Mayweather is set for Nov. 9.

Such a shame, for all involved.

Limiting my comments to boxing, it is a shame that all of this stuff gets in the way of us seeing arguably the most gifted boxer of all time fight more frequently.

It has turned into a mess, but it still gives us three more good fights: Froch-Abraham, Ward-Dirrell, and whoever the final is between.

I'm gutted for Kessler, to be honest.

A lil' David Haye Audley Harrison update.David Haye has caused outrage recently among women’s groups and rape victims hyping up his fight. He recently stated it would be “as one-sided as a gang-rape"(what was he thinking?).He has gone on further to try and make ammends in interviews by saying he did not say he was going to gang rape Harrison,it simply was designed to shock, and demonstrate just how bitter Haye feels towards Harrison.

Haye will probably call him an "Uncle Tom" next,or threaten to eat his children

Good news for fight fans. November 20th is the rematch for Martinez and Williams. Finally a decent fight in a year fool of lackluster and one sided events.

Middleweight champ Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams will meet in a rematch of one of 2009's most exciting fights on Nov. 20 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., their promoters told ESPN.com on Monday.
