    Looks like we're getting Floyd-Cotto and Mosely-Alvarez in 5/5.

The higher the weight, the better the news for Cotto.

Yeah just heard it on the news , couldn't get to enthused
About it.... Think I kidded myself the PAC fight might of happened .. Probably never will ... Am sure we have all discussed mayweather cotto .. And I think most decent money is on mayweather being far superior and cotto to easy to hit
    fuck your fucking framing

Not enthused either, Cotto hasn't been the same since he got in the ring with that cheating piece of shit Margarito.

The boxing world loses a GIANT figure tonight, a man who changed the outcome of many fights without ever throwing a punch (at least not during a round) Angelo Dundee.

Godspeed Mr Dundee. You will be missed tremendously.

I think that fact that Floyd is prepared to fight Cotto at 154 - rather than a catchweight like Pacman (who fought him at 145!) - tells us all we need to know: Floyd ain't worried at all.

This right here is the exact reason MMA is gaining a bigger interest than boxing. The top guys of that sport actually fight each other.Given time to reflect on Mayweather and Cotto,Does anyone really care?.We know the result before the guys are even in the ring.Even if it turns out to be a fantastic fight it will still be disappointing because it is not the fight the boxing world wants to see.

Anyone interested in Chavez Jr. - Rubio?.I am thinking Chavez Jr for the win.Rubio has not been in the ring for a long time (Kelly Pavlik i think, anyone?) and will be rusty.I don't think, unless he lands a lucky punch past juniors suspect defence, that he has the tools to win and chavez has the tank to outlast him.

I think chavez will come in heavier and bang rubio , rubio is gonna have to knock jr out and i dont see it happening and to try he is gonna get in the way of some punishment ..... dont think chevez will need to worry about the tank .. i would take a wild shot and say it wont get passed the 6 round ... there you go put my moneys on six lol

I actually think Chavez-Whobio is a good fight. Two reasonably equally matched guys who come to fight.

It'll be entertaining, even if every knows Martinez schools both of 'em....

I would say rubio is in trouble if it goes past the fourth

It's official (actually before now), Edison Miranda is used up. He got his ass beat on ESPN tonight by some dude I've never heard of. When you can't win on Friday Night Fights it's time to become a professional sparring partner.

The judges score the bout 118-110,, 116-112, and 115-113 all for the winner by unanimous decision and still WBC Middleweight Champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr..Rubio did not put on a bad showing,He landed a few good shots and out punched Chavez a few times.Chavez landed harder punches and kept him on the ropes a lot.All in all not a bad fight

Pacquiao vs. Bradley,Got to say i am scratching my head on that one.Bradley is a sound boxer and has had some tremendous fights,Kendall Holt comes to mind,But he has a distinct lack of drawing power. He does not really do anything fantastic in the ring.I would put money on Floyd vs. Cotto outselling Pacquiao vs. Bradley

That's a given. Cotto is a big, big draw.

Bradley has it all to do: coming up in weight for the first time from a division in which his power is minimal. I doubt he can hurt Pacman, but his workrate, body work and headbuts might pose some problems....

Bradley's crisp and accurate punches against Manny's defence at least places him in the fight.Pacquiao has not fought a guy under 30 since Cotto. His last fight was a decision over 38 year old Juan Manuel Marquez,Bradley being 28 the ring damage is not yet done so he may just give him some trouble. If he can stick and move and wear down the body it could be a good fight. If Bradley were to win,or even test Pacquiao i can see debate on his skills starting to decline

I'll be honest, I think Bradley will be overwhelmed by the volume of punches and stopped in the mid-rounds. He's an unknown quantity at 147

Tell me about it - I think the one judge was impressed because no one's ever put a mark on Donaire's face before, and that guy managed to give him a shiner? Still baffling, he pretty much dominated the dude, though he DID eat more shots than I've seen in the past...

True. But it was no way a SD.

Donaire is a remarkable talent. But the higher up in weight he goes, the harder it's gonna get.

Khan will win the rematch (although part of me would like Peterson to knock the whinny bitch out). He'll move more - jab and move, jab and move. Until the mid rounds, when Peterson is drained.

I will second that.I would love to see Peterson land a lucky shot right on the button and leave Mr glass jaw seeing stars though.I hate that little prick,Still think he is all hype

I think he has some remarkable assets. He learns well, he's incredibly fast, has a good workrate, and will fight pretty much anybody.

What Peterson - who is by no means top flight - exposed, however, were some fundamental defensive flaws. Can Khan rectify those? We'll see...

fundamental defensive flaws are my problem with him.He is fast and will fight most anyone and i respect that,But i still see him as a pro puncher not a pro boxer

    That's a nice distinction.

It's a shame that the Bradley fight never came off for him, though. If he'd beaten Bradley, and then redeemed himself with Peterson, that would make him the man at 140. That's quite impressive (I'm assuming here that Juan Manuel Marquez is no longer at 140).

I think khan will really bring it to this one.As we have established he is willing to work and does have some really good tools.Could be like Roy Jones knocking out Montell Griffin in one round after he got the DQ.I still hope he gets beat though

I think khan will do a job on peterson , i think he learnt his lesson last time and will drop the bomb early
I rate khan tho i got to admit he got on my tits abit moaning and whinging over the last fight ...
I think he could be a top fighter , i dont think he has a glass jaw as such .. the prescott fight was a total mismatch rubio his trainer lost his job over it khan was still learning his trade and he put him in with a much bigger knock out merchant .
I do concede he is easy to hit but he took a couple of decent punches against maidana.
The thing is he was a good champion but apart from not seeing the peterson result i didnt know were he would go after that , the problem was/is he was bulking up and would have ended up at147 and the air is to rich up there for him IMHO

Agreed. I don't think most fans really grasp how great he was. I met him twice and I think he's generally a nice guy as well. I wish he would just quit for good, he's an embarrassment now.

Mayweather is only in jail 90 days ... how much of that will he actually serve ???
