I think what we saw there was just how good Collazo is - cos he's a lefty, he's been unlucky in getting breaks over the years. Maybe now he'll get some bigger fights.

Curious to know what people make of Mayweather tweeting a poll about who his next opponent should be (Khan or Maidanna)?
Make some serious bank by doing both in the same night

Khan won the Twitter poll, so it looks like it'll be Mayweather-Khan on May 3rd.
First big fight of this year: Sergio Martinez - Miguel Cotto.
This one has the potential to be very, very interesting.........................
Bin have you seen anything of Deontay Wilder ?? Guys were watching a you tube of his knock outs , he certainly can punch.
Things I like about Deontay Wilder:
a) He can punch
b) He's a heavyweight contender who's in shape (most heavies now are flabby and poorly conditioned).
The problem, as I see it, is that he's been matched against fairly light competition. Now they're looking at rushing him into a title shot, and I think that's bad news. You need to be fighting lots of solid guys first.
Yeah the clips i watched there wasn't much boxing or evidence he could take a hit but damn he was explosive
Anyone see Chisora - Johnson last night?
Chisora is a dirty bastard: rabbit punching all night!
Fury also won again against some bum........
Holy shit...
BHop with a title fight in April.
Wants to unify the light heavy belts early next year.
AT 50 YEARS OLD.
Dude is a freak.

Dude is a freak.
He's also very good at picking his fights these days (fair dues). I think he'll win.
Then I hope that he retires.
Arthur Abraham beat Steiglitz via SD in their rubbermatch last night.
He's now the WBO champ at 168. I smell a fight with Kessler on the horizon.........
Will have to look that one up and watch it. It went untelevised here in the U.S. We had the Chavez Jr./ Vera rematch which was an enjoyable action fight. Also Orlando Solido was victorious. The best news i have heard is that the Froch/Groves rematch will be televised here on either Showtime or HBO. I am disappointed that the Martinez/Cotto fight is going to be PPV.

Are you surprised that Martinez/Cotto is PPV? Two of the biggest fighters in the sport were always going to generate that....
Kind of surprised. I can't think of a PPV that Martinez has headlined. Cotto has only headlined when against PacMan and Mayweather in losing efforts. I hate to say this but despite it being exciting to us Binnie, i'm not sure who is going to pay to see this fight. I wouldn't think just the die hard Martinez and Cotto fans would generate enough sales to warrant a PPV. I'm not sure i'm going to pay for it...are you?
Cotto is a big PPV draw. He brings in a huge Puerto Rico audience.
(I won't pay for it - I always get hooked up other ways )
Now that i think of it i'll bet the Margarito rematch was a pay per view. Shane Mosley probably was too. Hopefully, it does well. I probably won't pay 50 bucks for it.
Predictions?
I'll hang back on the predicition for now. It's tough: Martinez is not the man he was, and arguably he's not faced a fighter as good as Cotto for a long, long time; and Cotto has never fought at 160 so we don't know how he'll look.
Canalelo-Angulo this weekend.
This could be a good one, some people are even picking Angulo for an upset........
binnie (03-04-2014)
So, there's talk of Khan-Broner being on the undercard of Floyd-Maidanna.
That's an intriguing fight, much as I don't care much for either guy. I really don't know how that fight would play out.
Canello stopped Angulo in the 10th.
The stoppage was just plain odd. Angulo had taken a lot of punishment, but he wasn't overly hurt and was still punching. Kinda sucks we lost potentially three rounds of great boxing. Round 8 was a really warriors 3 minutes.
Canello is back. The kid looked impressive on Saturday. Great movement, good defence, came to fight and has an impressive aresnal of combinations.
I've seen the punch stats for the fight , scary numbers in canello's favour .
There is a lot to be said in Floyd being a sly old fox and taking him on early before he really matures and before his own powers began to wane .
Nah, Floyd took the most dangerous fight offered to him at that time. People need to give him some credit for that.
I'll be intrgued to see who Canello fights next. He's pencilled in for late July.
Deontay Wilder fights Malik Scott this weekend on the undercard of Danny Garcia's next title defense.
I think that's a good fight. Wilder is a massive puncher, but sometimes big punchers get exposed when they step up in competition - they've relied solely on their power to the detriment of fundamental skills, and better fighters can exploit that.
Malik Scott is no world beater, but he's considerably better than most of Wilder's competition thus far. I expect a Wilder victory, but I'll be intrigued to see how he looks in getting that victory.
I like wilder , don't see his fights Not being exciting
Well, Wilder KO'd Scott in the first round.
Some people are saying Scott took a dive (the KO was not dramatic) but it looked to me like a well timed temple shot did him.
I'd really like to Wilder get some better opposition now: Eddie Chambers, Stiverene, Arreola would all be good options.
Let's hope it plays out that way (although I still think that Wilder should be progressed with caution...........)
Here's a list of guys I'd think about matching him with:
Tony Thompson
Derreck Chisora
Shannon Briggs
If he beats up guys like that, I'd start thinking about Povetkin and Arreola, and then move towards a title.
I finally caught the wilder fight , funny one to call, the punch seemed a little suspect. Or the guys
Heart was suspect . It just didn't seem enough to finish the guy off .
But hey wilders a big lad and am guessing those sort of punches hurt
I would like him in with a Tyson fury type , get him in with a another big muscly fighter . Someone who can throw punches back .
So, Pacquiao-Bradley II is coming up soon.
I am curious to know what people think about this fight........
Amir Khan is fighting Louis Collazo on the Mayweather undercard.
Intriguing fight for his handlers to pick. A career welterwight (i.e. naturally bigger than Khan) who is also a southpaw, and know for being awkward. If Khan loses, he's absolutely fucked career wise - I don't think he will, but it's quite a risk.
