When ever you see a couple holding hands while walking to the cash point... from now on.... It will be known as the Mayweather Pacquiao
I really love you baby, I love what you've got
Let's get together we can, Get hot
The only thing injured on Paqfraud is his pride. I know you buy all of Crosby's whining, don't fall for this crap coming from Manny's camp. He got took to school by a boxer far more talented than himself, end of story.
Am liking some of the mayweather hug your woman punch your opponent memes.
fuck your fucking framing
Mayweather-Pacquiao, more than a box match, it looked like a tango contest.
bit of a reminder of that punching thing we heard so much about
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...right-shoulder
Still think it's fraud?
Although the 4 million people that bought the pay-per-view might be claiming fraud now....
And for the record, I had no rooting interest, although I wanted to see the woman beater lose....
I haven't watched boxing regularly since Leonard retired....
Mayweather toyed with Pac...he took his best punches in rd 2 and realized Manny couldnt hurt him..his defense was incredible..Manny couldnt touch him..I thought it was a decent fight and 116-113 was about right..not sure what the third judge was watching.
True, but Manny has always been thought of as a 'left only' fighter. Roach spent years trying to develop a right hand from him.
I also don't buy the 'running' comments. I saw Mayweather stand right in front of him most of the time. The problem most oppoents face against Floyd is that he makes them think, and the more they think the more they become gun-shy.
The Power Of The Riff Compels Me
I believe he has a shoulder problem. The point is that most fighters go into the ring nursing injuries: Floyd has brittle hands and ribs, for instance. He fought practically one-handed against Guerrero.
The issue here is like David Haye's toe against Klitchsko - it was broken, but it only started really hurting right around the time he realised he couldn't win.
Ok, so Floyd's final fight is in September. Who should it be?
Pacman is out for surgery (mmmm) so it's not him.
Amir Khan claims to want the fight but says he won't fight in September because of Ramadan?
Tim Bradley is a good fight - credible (he beat Pac) and one of the best at 147 (but there is the Bob Arum factor)
Cotto at 160 is good - but I doubt he can turn around the fight in such a short space after Geale.
No his last fight for show time , come October get ready for mayweather TV presents mayweather pac 2.
Trust me am a doctor
You may be right. That would put him at 50-0 (i.e. beating Marciano's record).
The thing that sets him apart is his dedication.
Most other champion boxers get up early and train hard all day but when they get home they just relax. Mayweather then does a second shift beating the shit out of his family and that extra practice gives him an edge...
Totally not down with the girl-punching, but agree, he is currently the best boxer in the world. And as expected, he made Manny look stupid. Not saying he wasn't injured, but realistically with his shoulder being 100% wouldn't have helped. My stream wasn't great either, but Manny looked befuddled. Same thing will happen in a rematch - or Floyd will take Sr's advice and end it earlier.
I'm not a fan of Mayweather at all, but I knew he'd whip Pac's ass. He is simply a better boxer. I don't enjoy his style in the least, but it works. I never like Leonard, because he ran so much too. I'd prefer a much smaller ring, and then let them pummel the fuck out of each other. In my mind, the greatest fights in history, have been wars. Wars where the two opponents beat the fuck out of each other. When both fighters get done with a 12 round "fight", and both look like they just got done with a dancing with the stars episode, it wasn't much of a "fight".
I didn't pay to watch this one, nor did I bother to go anywhere that was showing it. I knew what the outcome would be. I know what the outcome would be in a rematch. I hope Floyd sticks to his most recent comments, and doesn't give Pac a rematch.
Von you know fuck all about boxing ,you probably couldn't even chin mayweathers missus
The more I read about this am sure mayweather will/might be tempted to bash a chump in September , hopefully amire can't then open it up for TV bidders on who wants the big final fight.
Hey what do I know I don't even like the tosser I would rather watch golovkin or wilder any day
Interesting boxing 24 article saying mayweather should fight golovkin. Pretty sure may wouldn't want that as a last fight.
If Mayweather does decide to try and break the record, I think he should fight someone beatable for victory 49, and then fight the baddest motherfucker left, to end it either 50-0, or 49-1. Win or lose, it would be a win/win for him.
Did anybody watch the Alvarez vs. Kirkland fight? What a fucking brawl! Now that was a fight!
That it was! The super slo-mo of the shots landed on Kirkland were magnificent! His face slid all over his skull. That's the kind of fight ending I like to see. And Kudos to Alvarez for checking on the poor guy he just clobbered.
They were some killer punches.
Yeah, but was it really a 'fight'. I like Alvarez, and I think he is one of the most talented young guns in boxing. But fighting a guy who is that ring-rusty (following several years in prison) is not all the impressive. 'Lamb to the slaughter' springs to mind........
Alvarez-Cotto is a fight.......
I was watching some Tyson fights from early in the day...some of those guys were also-rans but not all.
Dude had like 10 fights a year or more...it was a crazy schedule. Still cant believe his early hand speed. Fast for any weight class...absolutely all universe for a heavyweight
Roth Army Canada
That and the only other times Kirkland has lost before was also when he was without his usual trainer, Anne Wolfe. He's gotten off the canvas and beat the shit out of dudes with her in his corner. Alfredo Angulo anyone? To go immediately step back in the ring with someone in Canelo's league after a long layoff with a new trainer would have been amazing if it had worked, but looks like a poor decision based on how badly he ate shit... that knockout shot spun his ass around (partially due to the fact Kirkland had already committed to throwing a left hook, but the Alvarez right cross got there first) ... brutal.
What I meant was that Kirkland was an opponent selected to make Alvarez look good. It was a spectacle, not a fight.
When you put someone who stands square on and has a tendency of lowering his guard and not moving his head in the ring with a guy as talented as Alvarez, it's highly likely to end in a KO. So people will say 'wow, there was more action than Mayweather-Pacquiao' and I say 'yeah, but it wasn't really a competition of equals'.
Alvarez has fought against way better guys.
And calling Ray Leonard - one of the ATGs - a 'faggot' is strange. He was in some wars! I'm not sure that Floyd avoids fighting: he avoids getting hit, which is what boxing is about.
There's a revisionist history around Tyson which says 'he looked better than he was because he faught bums'. I think it's largely horeshit. Michael Spinks was a very, very good fighter, for instance. And Larry Holmes wasn't that far past his peak when they met (he'd been champ 3 years earlier). I would also say that right now America would give it's right nut for a heavyweight of the calibre of the following: Tony Tucker, James 'Bonecrusher' Smith, Pinklan Thomas, Tony Tubbs or Razor Ruddock (I know he was Canadian). Would any of those guys beat the Klits? No, but they'd do a damn sight better than the shower of shit that's gone over the pond for an ass-whopping for the past 10 years.
Tyson is a tale of 'what could have been', but in his 3 or so years of prime he was an astonishinlgly gifted fighter. For my money he's have beaten Holyfield in his prime, but probably not Lewis (too much of a height disadvantage and Lewis had a great jab).
3/4 of a thank . Lennox Lewis couldnt beat ... Blah blah blah.
Before they created a convicted rapist/psychopath there was a man who beat an all time great in Holmes and in the glory of victory admitted that in his prime the loser would beat him.
Mike Tyson for a short period was a perfect heavy weight.
Mike Tyson for a lot longer period was a cautionary tale of greed and manipulation .
If any one disagrees with that ...... Cool
Interesting take on the May/Pac fight.
Golovkin keeps doing the business , he is by far my fav fighter at the moment.
Good fights this weekend both Joshua and kel Brooke looking good.
Lot of people talking GGG froch at Wembley , think it's one war to far for froch
