I like how the say, "We even will throw in some EVH guitar picks, hold on to these babies they are rare." they better fucking come with guitar picks, I'm spending $25,000.

Yeah, that actually sounded pretty good.

Keep in mind folks, these recordings were obviously done "pre-rehab", so Ed certainly was not at the top of is game.

My guess is that they removed the original recordings, threw these in as a preview on how the new guitar and amp sounds like.

What do ya wanna bet spEd tries to pull a Sharon Osbourne and get Wolfie to re-record the bass tracks on all 6 of the CVH albums?

Fuck that worthless, tongueless piece of fucking shit.

I diagree with alot here. I don't think that those sound bites are from Ed pre rehab or shit like that. The tone of that guitar and amp is definitly around the time that Balance or VHIII came out.

The sound is not the classic sound that Ed displayed on the fender stage at NAMM, and that was pre rehab. Go to Ed's gear page and click on the news section. There's the video of him playing. It's a totally differant sound.

I think they just used some sound bytes from another era, It was when he was using either the MM or wolfgang guitar, and the peavy amps.

I'm sorry, but I would not pay a $100 to hear Ed play like this. Even if Dave was in the band.

I hear ya man...I just don't know, if Ed is playing like that, no matter how well the rest of the band plays it won't sound good...if Ed plays bad, the whole band sounds bad.

Could have been Wolf covering for dad while he was in rehab.

The lead break on RWTD is horrible.

Overall, some bits sound good, some not so good. The Unchained riff swings pretty well for me. The tone seems good enough for riffing but it seems lacking in treble which makes it a bit unbrown for me.
