Anyhow, my friend is the general manager for Art's company. He knows what goes on in Hollywood. I trust him totally. We went to college together in the early 90's. He would not bullshit me on stuff like this.

Yup. THEE Art LaBoe. I was just out to LA last summer and visited my friend at their offices on Sunset. Very cool place and Art is still on top of his game in the music business. My buddy started out as an assistant(gopher), and worked his ass off for Art. The only thing I can't figure out is why the fuck are they keeping this a secret? I mean, I guess we should be used to being kept in the dark like usual. It just seems to me that it would be a HUGE benifit to them to just be upfront about Roth joining them. They would be playing multiple dates in each location for sure.
The only reason I can think of is that they want to take it show by show in case the shit hits the fan and they tell Dave to take a hike. This way, the fans won't be expecting to see Roth when they buy their tickets.
