Straight from the online pages of industry mag Hits - www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgi:
"STRIKE UP THE VAN: The first single from the retooled, Sammy Hagar-fronted Van Halen will be Up for Breakfast, one of three tracks produced by Glen Ballard. The other two are Learning to See and It's About Time. The band are set to hit the road this summer."
I am working on additional information right now and hope to present an update of goings on shortly. I will add now a quote from one source with info from Warner Brothers, who are responsible for putting the new compilation together: "It's About Time is a given. It'll be on the release. The reason you "haven't heard it" is because the final product isn't done yet. Some people (at the label) thought it wasn't commercial enough."
So it seems a more commercial tune has been selected as the lead single! And the compilation will not be released in June - later in July was the last I heard. Stay tuned for that update...
