Four days until tickets go on sale, and they don't have prices for VIP Packages yet ??
I've seen $125 floating around, but I'd be shocked if that turns out to be even the 4-star price....
I believe for the '04 tour they were at least 300 clams....

Did you see the prices for Def Leppard's VIP? $325 in some venues so you know VH will definitely surpass that price. Van Halen > Def Leppard HANDS DOWN!
Uh, iloveallaccess.com has ticket sales for the VIP packages listed as tomorrow the 15th, starting at noon (for Philly), and every hour after that, until 6pm, for other shows.
Live Nation is saying ticket sales for the shows start on the 18th.
TicketBastard doesn't even list VH as touring.
5-Star packages for the 2004 horror were over $US400 if memory serves.

what a rip off....
I stand corrected, thanks, but that's even worse !!!Originally posted by m_dixon1984

How in the fuck can you have these packages go on sale tomorrow, which will be costing major coin, and not even publish the prices the day before they go on sale ????
Hopefully that's a typo, but that's pretty piss poor.....
I won't pay that much.
I've heard $125 for 4 star, and $60 for regular tickets.
Haven't heard a peep about the 5 star...but I've got a cap on what I'll spend.

I just got my e-mail alert from iloveallaccess about the VH packages...no prices included. They do confirm that sales start tomorrow.
4-Star for the 2004 fiasco were over $US200, again if memory serves.
Can't imagine there's gonna be price drop.
Anyone want to buy a kidney? I've got two.

Def Leppard is here next week and the "regular" tix are $75 each.
They're always high.
Up until the mid-90s I always found Def Leppard had some of the better ticket prices, and well worth it too, back then.
Haven't paid much attention to them over past 10 years.
$75 a ticket seems like a bit of money-grab to me but if I was a fan I'd pay it.
M
opening night in Charlotte looks like $125 for floor seats..I think people are getting that confused with hearing $125 for VIP 4star..i can't see even a 4star package being $125...November 3rd at Continental..you know it
IMO, that's high for a band that tours almost every couple of years. Especially one that hasn't had a successful album in what 10 years now?
Styx and Foreigner without Lou Gramm are also on the bill.
Its just bad business. They don't have their shit together and it indicates this thing has been thrown together.Originally posted by Va Beach VH Fan

BTW to add to the confusion the homepage for the Charlotte BobCat Arena doesn't list a price either, yet the official Greensboro Colusivium lists $125.00 as the 5 Star price for the show two nights later.
Whatever price is quoted by the event facility, there will certainly be all sorts of sur-charges to pay that wont be fully disclosed until right before you are asked for your credit card number.
Further still, what of the official Van Halen Newsletter mentioning that certain credit card holders of "The Official Credit Card of the Tour" will have some type of preferred access?
That's just not how we folk do business in the Tarheel State.

I probably shell out the cash to buy the 5 star packages, so I can get a front row seat to this show, but do you have to use a special credit card to get the best seat? Ticket brokers are already asking a couple of grand for top seats for the tour.
auntie elle auntie elle have you seen my david lee roth lunch box??
o hey hyman
The credit card thing has always been a bit of a joke.
American Express had, or has, Front-Of-The-Line for tours they promote. From what I could gather there's a block of seats reserved for early purchase, usually the day before regular sales started.
The reserved tickets were usually low, 1st level, grandstand seats. I never found a floor seat using Front-Of-The-Line (I only got seats once).
They usually sell-out in minutes.
The lack of pricing information is a pain in the ass, add the Charlotte and Greensboro discrepancies, and I'm a little pissed off.
M
charlotte's good karma although greensboro is not
i just remembered i wont be at either! rock on!
I don't have an American Express, I'm hoping I can buy a 5 star package usuing another credt card!, the site claims you can get seats with in 10 rows of stage when buying these packages, is this whole package thing bullshit and a gimmick to sign up for an "American Express card?Originally posted by m_dixon1984

I hope it doesn't involve Western Union.
Last time I tried to wire money to my family in Guam, they charged me 75 bucks!!!
I'm with you on the sign-up gimmick angle but I'm pretty sure it's not related to the iloveallaccess packages.
The iloveallaccess 4 and 5-Star package tickets are open to everyone with any credit card, for the few minutes they last. At least that's my understanding.
When American Express was doing the Front-Of-The-Line thing through TicketBastard it was quite obvious which links to follow for AE card holders to get their early tickets.
The delay with TicketBastard listing the shows may be related to getting this new promotion setup. I've never heard of the credit card they want you to use.

(2) Four Star - Pepsi Arena, Albany, NY , June 26, 2004 07:30 PM EST
Amount Paid: 350.00
That got me a crappy t shirt and a 10 row seat. Luckily, my exwife shook her tits at the roadies and they gave us 2 passes to sit inside the stage on Eddie's side. I watched the whole drunken mess standing about 3 feet away from Eddie.
and yes I went to that trainwrek. I thought that it would probably be the last tour Eddie did before he died.
5 Stars were going for $600 a piece if I remember.
I emailed iloveallaccess earlier today asking when prices would be published and I got an email tonight saying that the prices for the fist 7 shows would be up later tonight... i'm in Atlantic time so it's already 10:30pm but I'm guess these guys are probably Pacific time... so I guess I'll know in the morning.
Derrick
Even worse, 5 star will not include watching the sound check like the last tour> That was the only thing that made it worth it!
I wouldn't doubt that list of stuff that comes along with the packages gets modified, considering that they hadn't even set prices for the damn things yet....
But you're right, seeing the sound check would fucking rock....
SOundcheck was way better than the concert
It's official...
5-Star packages for Philly - $US695.
4-Star packages for Philly - $US350.
Ugh! I'm out.
M
PS - Prices seem to vary. The NC shows are a little cheaper.

The credit card is the Citibank American Airline Advantage card, where you get miles. I've got one, but I've done that presale thing too, and it's not usually very good. I'll take my chances.
Meet us in the future, not the pasture
Those prices are ridiculous. I've seen Dave by himself in the past few years I doubt this conference will be better then Roth by himself. got front row seats to see dave under 60 each time. Since I never saw VH I will go but I really don't see how it can be 6-7 times better then a roth show by himself (since the price is that much more.)
We're gonna leave you smokin like the slow guy in Chernobyl
If you go to the All Access website (www.iloveallaccess.com) and go to the Van Halen premium tickets section it will send you to a page that prompts you for the "tour password."
Just type in vanhalen (all one word) and it will take you to the show listing and will have prices for the 5 and 4 star packages if you click on them.
m_dixon was correct. $350.00 for 4 star, $695.00 for the 5 star (at least in Philadelphia). Prices vary depending on the city.
Gee...that was really a difficult "password", huh?

They should pay to have advertisement on the great Roth Army!
Nah - I jest - you did the right thing - its about getting information out there but - I printed it myself already 8 days ago in another thread but you didn't know that (because the site wont load right and you couldn't serf as easy as usual...)
Now the info is out there so from here on out, everybody: FUCK THEM!!
Yet another fucked up thing that is preventing the average fatcat from buying these expensive tickets is the sheer Pain In the Ass factor! I have a busy life and I have already spent way too much time trying to figure out WTF is going on re: tickets! I'm starting to see it in terms of hours I can't bill!
hum, $700 bucks for a concert should I shell out the cash?, I don't know if seeing Van Halen and even Dave himself is worth that much.
If I choose the pay the cash I better get at least in the first 3 rows from stage other wish it would be a rip off!
For the two Carolina shows;
$ 550 for 5-Star
$ 300 for 4-Star
$550, I'll do that, I'm going to the Minneapolis show, I'm hoping the 5 star package won't be as expsensive as the bigger cities such as, Vegas and NY etc.
I'm out of VIP. It's more than I'd spend to see anyone.
I'll call a friend in Greensboro in a little while to see if I can score some corporate seats. But if I were to pay that much to see a band, they'd better be asking for my autograph.
Yep, I made up my mind goin' to the Sprint Center gonna find a girl gonna sing her a song.... gonna show her my ...well you know!
I figure I'll do the old -Dime Store- giggaloo routine and score a date
with one of the new employees of this facility, probably some executive type, Dior Zekkutyive, 50k plus honey...... Ohhhh Yeahhhh!
Then do my best to get her to score me some tickets to the VH show
in a LUXURY SUITE...... OH YEAH!!!
Hobnobbin with the Swells from up on the hill ! Alllreet!
And to think, I used to chase women for the leg,, Aaaaaa ha ha ha *sniffle* *weeping*
cryin in ma beer man, It's not easy.
A Mans Gotta Do Wahta Mans Gotta Doo .....Ahhhh Yeah!
Maybe I will take my Uncles Jeds advice he said to stand on the corner in front of the building and pull out your whittli'n knife then get a stick... and women will take notice of the guy who can curl off the longest whittle.
If you know what I mean .....ahhhh yeah.
