Henry Rollins on Dave

I knew that over the years Dave and Henry Rollins became friends. (my impression I got when I saw interviews). Very good article on this website with Henry Rollins. He wrote a chapter about Dave in his latest book.

I guess what I can and cannot believe at the same time is what Henry Rollins said about Sammy Hagar.

I love that song and Video "Liar", that is one strong song.

I was in Junior high when the song came out and MTV use to actually play the video.

That is awesome, Henry Rollin devoting a whole chapter to Dave.

It shows how big of a Classic VH and DLR he is and how much classic VH and Dave's music has meant to his life.

He has also said a lot of positive things about Dave and Classic VH in the past also.

It's from the song "Triumph of the Swill" from their last studio album "Bedtime for Democracy" (1986)

The context was that corporations and the government were gaining too much control over the content of music and other forms of media & entertainment.

Considering the sorry state of both music and the corporate media 18 years later, I'd say the song was prophetic.

Henry is also the person who commented during VH-1's 100 greatest Hard Rock Bands list, in which VH was #7, that a Van Halen concert was a "stellar production, a 10".....

Which just caused me to get irritated again, how in the fuck could Nirvana be at #6 and Van fucking Halen be at #7 ???
