Listening To Van Halen Boots Today...

    And guess what?

    bassplayer won't be missed.

I finished Gazzara's and Magic Mountain...there's no stellar background vocals.

Just Diamond Dave emcee extraordinaire doing what he does best...singing and filing the gaps between songs with some swagger and banter that Spammy, Ga y or bassplayer could only wish they could muster.

This tour puts Van Halen back in the forefront bitches!

Bassplayer sort of yelped on those tours. Sometimes it sounded like his nuts were in a vicegrip.

Which is why I might not actually miss him...

I mean, yeah, he's got a high note in him, but those yelps just sound plain ol' stupid.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

And I'd like to point out that on a good day, I could make Justin Hawkins go "fucking hell, that's a high note!".

But I don't want to do that too often. My balls would shrivel.

I'm happy as shit to see Van Halen back on top. The tour is already a smashing success as we all knew it would be.

That being said, just because they've moved on without Mike, why belittle the history? There are enough people out there that have done that over the years, it sucks to hear it here at the Army.

    Belittling history?

    Nope, just stating the facts.

Listen to them for yourself and get back to us.

I listened to them to see how much bassplayer really was a part of the early Van Halen sound and live...he sucked. The guy was blessed to have a long run with Van Halen. Now the decision wasn't up to us as to whom would be playing with them and Dave. Its out of our hands and if Dave has signed on with this then he's confirming to us the fans that Wolfgang can play and is ready for the task. I'm fine with that as Dave has had some rehersal time and must like what he's heard. My trust is with Dave on this one. He walked away before because it wasn't right.

If you can't handle that, then I guess there's always a place at the links waiting for ya!

Because morons MrsVaginaVibe need to rationalize why what they're seeing is somehow going to better than classic Van Halen, which they won't be seeing...

I still want to know who thinks this tour is going to be better than Classic Van Halen, like Nick suggests.

    Please step forward.

I could care less about his vocals at those shows. I'm talking about all the shit talking about Mike. You know if this was a full reunion with Mike, everyone would be singing his praises.

If you want to see the show without Mike, go ahead. You don't have to insult him to justify going.

I wish he was going to be there, but I'm still going even if he's not. Doesn't mean I have to hate him and his singing and his playing all of a sudden.

Anyone who is going with expectations of 25 years ago is an idiot. You are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment. I'm going with no judgment and no expectations other than to have a great time. I don't think I'll be disappointed. Just being in a room with 20,000 Van Halen fans will be a total rush itself.

Al's the biggest cunt in rock music, and he's touring with Dave.

Nobody gets a free pass with me, they just get forgiven for the tour.

I don't expect it to be better, or as good for that matter. I'm just gonna take it for what it is. Three great musicians (and one kid) trying to give us all something we have been bitchin for, A little slice of our youth and making a cash grab in the process.

If they want to take this into mach 4 territory like they say (and I hope they do) then ya gotta start somewhere. It's not CVH nor will it ever be again (even if old Mikey was still around). Those of us that got to see CVH in their glory know the band can't match that greatness ever again. Time and age (among other things) tend to frown upon these things.

A lot of people have wanted this for a long time and after this much bullshit from the VH camp I'm going to be looking forward with Dave and the guys (Not backward). It's not CVH, but its as close as were going to get ...............

He's not belittled, but he's not missed either.

    OK wait.....

Are you one of those FOOLS who thinks MA was 25% of what made classic VH tick?

Word? Then I got a bridge to sell ya! Right on the river...goes by the name of 35 W.....act fast.

Folks like Bueno, I respect your opinion.....don't go if ya cant stomach it.......I get it, really.

But I say FUCK Michael "Anthony" Sobliewziezkiezky.

    Not cause I hate him.

    Au contraire........

But because I don't need him to see my hero play with his musical soul mate.

This tour will not be 1/2 of what it was like back in their hayday, if anyone thinks that they are lost. These guys can't reproduce the same energy they had when they were all young and full of piss and vinegar.

That being said though, this tour will be kick ass and 1000% better than anything they have done since 85.
