Ok, depends on how fast we can get out of town in the morning. I've got some friends that were already going to be in Branson tomorrow heading up to meet me and a buddy of mine. Our hotel is about 3 miles from the Sprint Center, so I'll get checked in and try to head that way.

Nothing like a road trip on Friday you got started the Sunday before!

just got back to the hotel, great show!!! Had great seats, set list was the usual, I saw them In 79, 80, 81, 82, and 84, Im pretty sure Dave sounds better now!! At leat better than he has In the past several years, not much of a review, but Im tired, LOL, will give you guys a full review when I get home!!

not as loud as i expected,perfect mix really (alex van halen kicks ass btw!)

i mentioned ear plugs because some of us have serious problems no problem tonite-perfect volume and mix and i was row 12 in front of wolf and 20 feet from the stage extension..

i will post about the near brawl that erupted right after jump and NO OTHER ENCORE<THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN 4 ENCORES.

Well ,I made up for lost time when I got there......... Ugg .

But we got everywhere late, so I didn't see anybody.

Wolf was great.I couldn't imagine doing that at his age brass balls on this kid and his playing is sharp.

Alex is a animal he hasn't lost a step.What else can you say he is
able to really get the crowd going on top and he seems to be having a good time.Dude has a smile like a million bucks.

Ed was really something to see a true master of the guitar.Over 20 years since I have seen him live just really can't say enough about this guy so unbelievably good to see and hear .One of a kind.

Dave by far is the best rock singer I have ever seen..... again.Daves voice is really on the job he is really putting his best forward and this show is something to see.


There were little fukk-ups everywhere by all members none of note just live BS that happens probably 4% of the show was not perfect.

I'll wish I was that close to the mark on my job .

Worth every penny.

If you like any mix of VH don't miss this show .







I got a lil vid and will post it when I get back gotta drive a couple hundred miles to a wedding.

just couldn't believe how long it had been since Dave and Ed played together.How long it had been since I saw them on stage together.

yea, i got earplugs too, but didnt need em, and the sound was crystal from where i was, lower level, section 106, perfect view of the stage

Just got back to St. Louis. Listened to all 6 CD's straight through there and back.

They were all business last night. Almost no banter with the each other or the crowd. I wish Dave would have talked to the crowd a few times and I thought he would tell a story before Ice Cream Man. I stayed away from the Ice Cream Man youtubes so I would here it first live. Oh well, not a big deal. Show was amazing! Guess I will have to see them in St. Louis on March 30th! Wasn't planning on seeing them twice but it is too good to pass up a chance to see again!

Did anyone notice Dave call Eddie an asshole during I'm the One? I personally didn't notice it but several others were talking about it after the show. They were saying it was right after Eddie was singing into Dave's mic.

let me start by saying THE SHOW KICKED ASS, ALEX IS A MONSTER ON DRUMS.

now for the near brawl, i was row 12 on the floor front by the stage extension, as the band completed one encore 'jump' they leave the stage,out come the roadies WTF?

wheres the next encore me and others are thinking?


so a few bolt for the exit i am high fiving folks etc,folks are shot from boozing and singing thru every song,some sitting in there chairs still waiting for an encore.

i hear folks say 'thats it' etc.

next thing i know we are jammed together tight trying to get out and beer starts flying everywhere a couple chicks and a few others (me included ) get a beer bath and then fists start to fly :confused:

then the cursing starts and its obvious several are so drunk they can hardly walk and this taller dude nearly falls on me, i damn near slip on the beer soaked floors.

lets just say there were several dudes possibly getting "handsy" with some of the girls (there were a bunch of girls with their cleavage hanging out squeezing up and down the aisles during the show



i managed to turn around and move another direction towards the exit when 3 or 4 security showed up, i dont know what happened after that!

maybe it will show up on youtube.

wolf looked like he worked up an appetite he probably bolted back stage to tear into a slab of ribs!

i know i did ,i got bryants bbq and a bunch o beer when i got home to top off a helluva great evening.

A GREAT NIGHT well worth the $150 ticket price!!

i would say 90% of the folks there werent aware of the set list and to me the number of encores depends on how things are going and i expected more as did others where i sat.

i've seen many bands do 2-4 encores over the years.

didnt i read that van halen typically hit the stage at 8:30?

in kc it was 9:00 pm at start,the show seemed a bit rushed,not bad, but like dave had to catch a plane or go shag a stripper or something.

they probably need a few days off (which they will get),they're giving 110% on stage no doubt.

They played the usual set list. The usual banter and fun and games
were absent as Dave has a bad cold, maybe Ed too. They went on at 9:00because the show started at 8:00 instead of 7:30.
