Let it be known that vanhalenette and I are opening our home to any Roth Army members for pre and/or post concert partying/hanging out. We live in Centreville right off of 66 and 28 and have plenty of room, and our neighbors are very Van Halen friendly. I have been training them for two years so there will be no problems.
So let it be written...
~Only you can prevent low volume~
Any one going here before the show?
http://www.hardrock.com/locations/ca...15&MIBEnumID=3
Just got my ticket in the mail yesterday. Floor Section 4. Woo!
Workers of the World UNITE!
Just a reminder...
VanHalenette and I have a big house all to ourselves; i.e. no children to tend to. When it comes to entertaining, this is a good thing. We have a spare bedroom with a twin size bed and private bath, and we have another guest bedroom with a queen size bed and private bath. We also have a plenty of floor room downstairs for several of our blow up beds that are quite comfortable. (blow up dolls not included)
Got a raging fire pit and two car garage where a lot of the partying takes place.
The D.C. show is 22 miles east of us and is a straight shot into town. One road, and BAM you're in D.C.
Our home is open to you Rothtards who need a place to crash, party and eat barbecue before during, and after the show.
If you are in town and need a backup plan/place to chill just PM me and I'll send my phone # and directions to our pad.
I got ya covered 'cause I LOVE VAN HALEN, bitches!!!!!!!!!
And now a word about helium..

Tiki and I are seriously considering this show. After Thursday nights show, we've just gotta see it again to be sure it's for real.

Three words. WE WERE THERE.
It takes me about 20 minutes to drive from my house to the Van Halen show on Nov.1: or, I can drive 5 minutes and catch the subway directly to the front entrance of the show.
Either way, my skinny white ass will be shining that seat in DC only minutes after after I leave home.
Oh Yeah!
You all come on up and join the party!
Got plenty of room.
And now, a word on frog legs and safety...

I'm tempted...
But this shit is sold out...
I got tix. I'm taking the Red Line down from Silver Spring. Taking my accountant. Turns out, he's a big time VH fan. We're leaving the wives at home. This ain't no Bon Jovi show...

Nickie, after my experience with Ticketbastard in Charlotte, I'm ready to go myself even though Tiki and I don't have tix yet. I got tix minutes after they went on sale, and found out the hard way that best available was not really best available and sold out is nowhere near truly sold out. I got tix lightyears away from my first ones just two little weeks before showtime. I unloaded those first ones at a HUGE loss that night. There were literally a bazillion others in my boat. They were desperately trying to sell their extras. Even the scalpers doubtfully saw much of a profit. Who cares? I'm nowhere near sayin' I've got tons of disposable cash, but I got to witness history.
Tiki and I are already 90% certain we're going to the D.C. show. Nick.....DO NOT MISS THIS!!!

Fuck Bon Jovi. You sayin' this show ain't for the girls? Puhleeeze
i've got a crew of 11 going. one month to go!!!
No offense. The show is definitely for girls... just not my girl. She doesn't quite get it.
But, I love her anyway.

Since I am the only one within my circle of friends and family who is going, I purchased the first "best available" seat within my chosen price range that popped up. (I don't care, just get me in the door, man.)Originally posted by SparkieD

My ticket is marked "Side/Rear View" over by Wolfgang. My plan remains to keep that ticket, purchase a second via scalping, Craigslist, etc..
in order to get a better seat. Money doesn't grow on trees around here, but this is Van Halen and the nation's capital we're talking about.
There will be extra tickets readily available, I'm sure. Perhaps I had better start my search in the morning.
Ky-Mani Marley is doing a show at the State Theatre in Falls Church, Virginia this Wednesday evening at 8pm. A close friend of mine is going to be shooting some photos at the show so I think I'll attend with him to check Ky-Mani out. Anyone want to go, PM me.
You can see his schedule here http://www.myspace.com/kymanimarley
I'm very much thinking about going to this show after seeing Charlotte and Greensboro. I know I'll never see another show like this again... hands down the best shows I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure that I'd be going alone for this one, though... it's about 7 hours away. Not the furthest a VH fan has gone to see a show, but still pretty far.
D'OH! I wish I was born in the right generation. I so want to hang out with cool VH/Dave fans, but I'm quite a bit closer to Wolfie's age than to the age of the average VH fan. Being 19 in 2007 sure keeps me from a lot of rock 'n' roll fun.
Four more weeks...

15 Days till I rock my brains out, sing my voice to ruin, and with luck meet some Roth Army pukes.
Van Halen
15 DAYS, Bitches!
OW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10 days
10 long days.
Don't know how much longer I can hold out. 7 days to show time.
I'm goin' alone and I have a shitty seat, but this sumbitch is gonna rock till I puke, sing till I can't, and dance the night away in D.C. on Nov 1.
Any fucking sheep within my area of operation at that show will rue the day they showed up. You better back up sucka, I feel good.
The anticipation is torture! I've tried fishing, shooting, great sex, and even waxed my car a hundred times to get my mind off of the wait. It ain't workin', JACK!
VAN HALEN IS COMING TO TOWN!
(3/4 is all I get? I'll take it. What choice do I have?)
Zippity doo da zippity ay
Van Halen's comin' just one week from today!
Put down your crack pipes in D.C. and make way
Van Halen is coming
Van Halen is coming
This ole' Virginia boy WILL BE THERE!
WITH MUTHA FUCKIN' BELLS ON!
Here's to you DIAMOND DAVE
Yeah I missed ya, but you're BACK!
Long Live Diamond Dave! OW!
I had to post this to the board. I just sent an email out to a bunch of friends and family in the DC area. Some have tix... some don't. Here's what I had to say...
One week from tonight, David Lee Roth and Edward Van Halen will appear on stage *together* in Washington DC. It'll be the first time since March 26, 1984 that they'll have been on stage together in DC. That was during Reagan's *first* term. Joe Theismann was the starting QB for the Washington Redskins. The World Wide Web hadn't even been invented yet. I was 18 years old.
A lot has happened since then. Some good, some... not so good. But one thing remains the same. For those who want to rock 'n roll to some good party music that is fun and makes you want to smile... you crank up some Classic Van Halen. You know the tunes... Jamie's Crying, Dance the Night Away, Beautiful Girls, Everybody Wants Some!!!, So This is Love, Unchained, Panama, Hot for Teacher... need I go on?
So, these two icons will be back together, live before your naked, steaming eyes. But, wait... not all of you have tickets... I implore you to get them NOW. If you're a fan, you don't want to miss this. You'll never be able to see this again... Diamond David Lee Roth and the greatest guitar player of our generation, Edward Van Halen, reunited, playing 25 songs from the Classic Van Halen era.
Now, we're all a little older. We might not have as much hair or we may be a little heavier than we were in 1984. We might get to bed a little earlier than we used to. But, I think we all know how to shake our ass and have a good time. Now is the time to do it. This is your call to action.
But, don't just take my word for it... check out this second row footage from the October 7, 2007 show in Toronto.

This is for real, people. See you there.
Sticky, T minus one week....
Just got tickets for this show from a buddy who had to dump them do to other obligations. His loss my gain. Can't wait, this will be my second and last show. Hope the boys kick ass like they did in Philly.
Holy Kimchee, we got an early Sticky...
Look folks, I have a plan for infiltrating this place till my rock canteen is overflowin', but EVERYONE readin' this smack is invited to our pad.
Said it before, sayin' it again.
You cherry ass civilians need to party here
over...
no offense intended
It's 3:50am and Mean Streets is cruisin through the air.
Trained my neighbors from the first night.
See a gun is real easy
in this despeate part of town...

2 days and a wake up.
I have to hook up with some of you Rothtards and toast the mighty Van Halen in D.C.
Who's going, and where are we going to drink to the band before the show?
Need a ride? Need anything? Let me know soon, man.
Dust off your air guitar and strap on your singing voice, 'cause there ain't shit on earth half as cool as jamming with VAN HALEN live.
jharp sent me the audio from the Philly show and let me tell you something, for those who don't already know, this shit is ON FIRE.
Dave is ROCKING THE HOUSE!
Ed sounds fucking GREAT!
The band is TIGHT!
You miss this and you are going to regret it.
DON'T LIVE IN REGRET!
Do what you gotta do to get there.
I talked an old girlfriend who has some sugardaddy now into getting tix. She bought 2 front row on StubHub for $865 a piece. She'll be taking an old buddy of mine. Now I'm jealous as I'll be in section 102.
But, I will *be* there. And, Diamond Dave and Eddie will be there, too. And that is all that matters.
This is it. I've been waiting a LONG time to see this.
The sun is down in Virginia.
One more sunset to go.
Guess D.C is a lame duck area for Rothtards, so I'm going it alone.
ONE DAY AND A WAKE UP!
SCREW HALLOWEEN
IT'S VAN HALEN EVE!

The nervous energy has been building all day.
I think I'm going to explode if tomorrow doesn't get here a little faster. Muthafreakin' heart is pounding, man!
I need a beer

Have A Great Time,People.
First Roth Army Kiwi To See Van Halen Live 6/16/2012 Phoenix Arizona.
If this had been on a weekend, my son and I would be there, no doubt....
We'll have to settle for Jersey on Saturday night....
Wish I could hang with you guys tomorrow Va. Your kid is a lucky dude, getting to see the show with his pop on Saturday.
Here's to you, man Happy Birthday!
Holy crap, did I say tomorrow? It's tomorrow in just under two hours...
Oh My Godddddddddddddddddddd!

Van Halen Eve is OVER.
It's Van Halenmas.
There's only one way I'm getting any sleep tonight...
Couldn't sleep a wink last night, even with valium runnin' through the veins.
In 1984 The Greatest Rock Band broke up. Today I get to see them, minus Bass Player, rock the house just 22 miles from home.
I'm tired as hell, but FUCK IT!
VAN HALEN in T-minus 12 hours 30 minutes.
HOLY SHIT, IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!
"Look at little Alex. Is Alex smiling because he is full of youthful enthusiasm? No. Is Alex smiling because he is full of atheletic vim and vigor. No. Alex is smiling because he's full of JACK DANIELS!"

Saturday will be his 3rd concert.... So how about this trifecta...
#1 - Seeing a KISS stage show
#2 - Seeing a Neal Peart drum solo
#3 - Seeing Van Halen with an Edward Van Halen guitar solo
Not bad, not bad at all...
Have a great time tonight, something tells me that won't be a problem....
