Has anyone heard of a fan club where they have first dibs on tickets. I heard that if you're not a part of the official fan club you may not be able to access tickets as easily. Of course in this case I mean the Van Halen fan club. My wife keeps nagging me about it.

you can go to www.van-halen.com and find info on 4 and 5-star packages that you can get before tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster...be prepared to pay A LOT more though...

Just to name a few.
Usually you pay a fee for a 1 year subscription for the fan club and give your a password for buying tickets, which usually are alavalible a week before the onsale.
Van Halen doesn't have a fan club at this time, I think they have a contract with illoveaccess.com.
I think the whole fan club tickets option is a great idea, since fans who buy tickts are real fans and won't try to resale them at double the price.
I also think the main rule for the fan club ticket option is you have to be a member of the fan club for at least 3 months in order to receive the ticket password.
