If you don't read anything else in this thread just know: THE LAST VEGAS IS FUCKING KILLER AND YOU ALL NEED TO SEE THEM LIVE!
The first few times I saw The Last Vegas and CCD I was sharing a stage with them. This past Saturday night I got to enjoy the show without any band responsibilities. Great show from both bands.
If you dig Thin Lizzy, AC/DC and a little bit of Nashville Pussy, The Last Exit are for you. They totally stole the show! Great guys. Great Les Paul through Plexi tone. Great musicians.
CCD always puts on a great show but...... Their singer is a total tool and I hate his voice. The music is great but that dude is a total assclown that can't sing. Still a fun show. CCD's new guitarist is a much better fit. For one, he can play pretty well so now those tunes have real solos in them.
Also on the bill were the Luxury Pushers. The Luxury Pushers weren't my thing but to each their own. I think one of the cats is related to Josh Todd from Buckcherry but I'm not sure.
Vodka DeMilo opened the night. What these guys lack in experience they make up for with their tunes. They are still fine tuning it and taking too much time between sets but they are going to be really good.
My wife, work wife and myself know the promoter so after the show we went to his house for the after-party. Now.... I paced myself for 2:00 a.m. not 5:00 a.m. so I was really fucked up by the end of it all. But we all had a good time hanging out talking with the bands, playing pool, drinking and the normal debauchery that goes on at these things. All in all...... it was a great night.
Go see The Last Vegas if you get a chance. These guys are really going to do something.
Almost forgot... I wore my 1982 Diver Down jersey to the show because I was pumped about getting my tix that morning. Everyone in The Last Vegas & CCD were all beaming when we were talking about CVH. Only myself and one other person there had seen them before.
