    $10,000 Tickets!

You would have to be Jeff Spicoli to pay these prices for VIP at the LA show. I shit you not. Simply Unreal!

Ridiculous, man! There should be no such thing as the $10,000 concert ticket. Hell, I paid 1/1000 of that the first time I saw them!
I think these guys (Ticketmaster included) are in for a rude awakening very soon. There just aren't that many rich people in the world. I know brokers are getting really hurt on the KC show. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

    Rock 'n' roll is dead.

And for $10,000, you won't even be allowed to take a shitty snapshot, get a soundcheck, or get any alcohol but beer. Nor will you get parking, probably. But you will get crowd-free merchandise shopping!

I love VH, but I don't love them $10,000 much. Funny thing is that I paid $150 for my seat (still an outrageous price, really) and it was really just as good.

Oh, BTW, Ticket Liquidator is scum, just on the slim chance they run across this in a search.

4th row. That included Ticketmaster fees. Dave and Wolf also literally sweated on me, as I was right on the catwalk. I had a better seat than many of the VIPs.

i remember the first time i saw VH, my dad and I had shitty tickets for the balance tour. like 29 rows back. 98 Rock (radio station here in tampa, fl) was doing a canned food drive, and we brought about 4 bags full of canned food.

the guy with 98 Rock asked to see our tickets, then he said, here take these.

2 tickets, 2nd row CENTER!!! My dad and i about shat ourselves. Eddie must've thought it was pretty fucking cool to bring your 12 year old son to a VH concert, he kept trying to toss picks my way. He must've tried about 15 times, no joke.

One guy from the front row did take me right up against the barrier, and i got to flip off sammy hagar and scream at him a little bit - he tossed me a pick and i still have it somewhere.

I had a lot of firsts that night:

I got a close up and real life view of the female anatomy.

I didn't know cathedral was played on a guitar. Bugged me out big time.

I wanted to play like Eddie.

Got a guitar pick from a sauteed racoon's singing asshole on a stick.

Damn near got a guitar pick from the inspiration for me to pick up a guitar.

Developed a more refined taste for music. I started to care more about guitar playing, less about who the talk jockey was.

13 years later - i can play damn near every VH song to the note. I still drive down the road blasting the hell out of Unchained with the windows down.

Worth $10,000 - absolutely not. Priceless? Yep.

FYI- I bought lower bowl seats for Charlotte the MINUTE that they went on sale. Good seats, sure...

THEN, I bought FLOOR SEATS, 2 days before the show...

Yup, 2 days before for this SOLD OUT show...

Be patient and keep searching Ticketmaster...these pricks hold the best seats for last and then release them. You can get good tickets and don't have to sell your house to do it.

Fuck Ticketmaster....True fans get to sit on the roof....while people holding a copy of the setlist (like Poj and Va's guy) get up front.

Or people like me, who had 2 seats in the arena, $75 on the first.....$125 on the second....

and just eat the $75 ticket.

    its bullshit....

There are also VIP tickets for sale. I should clarify....tickets that were SUPPOSED to be sold as VIP's, that were not. A friend of mine just bought 12th row for Cleveland and paid the $125 not, $695.

Yeah, I bought my Charlotte tickets the second they went on sale and they were WAYYYYYY up there in the back corner of the upper deck. I was happy to even be there, but I can't deny I was disappointed with those tickets. I kept checking Ticketmaster several times a day for weeks. About a week and a half before the show, I got some fourth row tickets, on the fucking ramp, closer than a lot of the VIPs. I was ecstatic and pissed at the same time. I tried desperately to sell those shitty seats, but couldn't. I brought them to the show, and then sold them to a scalper who would re-sell them later on. I paid $180 total for two tickets, I was paid $50 for them total by the scalper. There were lots of people selling tickets out front, so I really had no chance of doing better than that, I think. Still pisses me off, but in the end, it's over and done with now, and I got to see rock history, feet from me, having the greatest frontman in the history of the world sweat on me, and bounce on a giant inflatable microphone literally inches from my pounding fist.
