Obviously, Van Halen is gonna mop the floor with whoever opens up for them? But Damn... fucking raggae for the opening act? Is the anticipation enough waiting to see Roth reunited with Van Halen... then having sit around for an hour or so listening to generic fucking raggae music?!?!

A band called MEDUSA STONE. Some may have heard of them, they have opened up for David Lee Roth a couple years ago on a solo tour. They are awesome, I promise you. A true classic rock band in this day and age.

There are bands out there that rock with the best, and VH need to quit worrying about being "blown off the stage". They're good enough that the best are only going to whip the audience into a frenzy.

Or Lenny Kravitz. I hadn't seen Aerosmith since 84, but I've now seen them twice in the past 2 years. The one with Motley Crue opening flat out sucked. Lenny opening, on the other hand, gave them some competition and pushed them to their best. I couldn't believe how good they were.

Ky Mani and his band actually did a nice job. I appreciate the VH guys trying to mix it up (I don't think they are intentionally trying to set Ky Mani up for failure for their own purposes), and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the crowd took him, but I'd have preferred a guitar/bass/drums rock band.

even with the new guy, they kicked VR's ass.
the GNR alums were great, but Weiland's voice is hurting. I never thought I'd say this, but Dave's voice clearly outshone the much younger competition.
It would've been a much better show for me if I wasn't coming off two VH shows.
