As far as Entombed go, check out "Left Hand Path" for vintage, old-shcool Death Metal. For the record where they really came into their own, and developed their own sound, check out "Wolverine Blues". Also, check out "To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth" - not too sure if yu'll like that one as it's sort of garageesque in production, but if you let it grow on you, you will see that it is one of the best HEAVY albums ever made.
Other bands to check out: The Haunted. More thrash than Death, but I reckon you'll dig 'em anyway. Check out any album pre-2005 as the last couple have been a bit ropey..
Also, check out At The Gates. Those guys were fucking incredible....

Check out Death Breath. Nicke Andersson aka Nick Royale's new band. He's the former drummer in Entombed, and as you maybe know he's the singer and guitarist in Hellacopters.
The band is a death metal-band with a sense of humour:

I personally find little commonality in similarly countried band's of the genre...
Although I'll admit, I'm not the biggest DM head out there, I do get a kick out of the novelty of some of the tunes, & it does assist the task of occasionally taxing the vacuum tubes in my McIntosh.

Finnish death tends to use a lot of keyboards.... Göteborg/Sweden death uses a lot of twin guitars, softer passages (like Opeth), and Florida death metal is often about Satan/gore and is very fast and straightforwardOriginally posted by naturochem

well.........the people at the show in devore,which a part of the city of san bernardino, had a really big problem with it. they made the mistake of mouthing off to a bunch of rednecks, hillbillies, hicks,military personel,and hell's angels. people don't put up with that kind of shit here.
the people here love their country and their freedom very much.
sorry, but any foriegner that is gonna come here and bad mouth america is gonna get hurt or dead real quick.
I'm not at concerts to engage in political commentary... a lot of the guys here like Nuge, but hate his politics.
Just ignore their speech and hear the tunes.
