obviously tragic and senseless violence.
however, i can't help but wonder whether this was truly random.
was sean, himself, a killer, a really, reallly bad guy? no, by all accounts.
but did he hang with the wrong people? was this a former acquaintance who wanted to get cash? was this somebody sean cut ties to or mouthed off to in a club? (none of which means he deserved to get shot.)
had this been darrell green, my only thought would've been how awful and random this violence was. but with sean taylor, i can't help but think that while he didn't deserve or probably cause this, could he in some way have prevented it?
either way, a horrible tragedy and i feel awful for his friends and family.
I doubt it was random...
The phone lines were cut, and was broken into eight days earlier....

As tragic as it sounds, my thoughts were the same. The trouble he had been in where he was accused of brandishing a firearm, either pointing it at people or not, firing off shots, etc.
Sad nevertheless because they guy was a great player.

That is a shame, a young, great football player that could have been a potential hof'er struck down by a chickenshit's bullet in his own home. I hope they find whoever did it and the fucker fries for it.
