Songs that trip you out when stoned.

Ok, we have all been zonked on some sort of chemical substance at one time or another. There are some songs out there that are really written for and suited to that frame of mind. Pink Floyd was a master of this. The Beatles, Sabbath, Zepellin, Ozzy...

Whats some of the songs that really tripped you out ??

I have to kick it off with Stairway to heaven. Diary of a Madman is another goodie.....

Freaked out stoner songs, bring em on !!

Any of the three Kingston Wall-albums...I've mentioned this Finnish band before, but anyway: they were a very talented young trio in the beginning of the 80's...their music ranged from jazzy to hard rock and blues...let's say their main influences were Hendrix, Zeppelin and music from India...too bad the singer/guitar player died. I wish I could somehow send their songs for you guys to listen - they were superb!

    ...and trippy too.

Put on any Frank Zappa-tune, and I'm trippin'. Even without getting stoned.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

The Doors is a good one....Jimmy Page's guitar playing on The Song Remains The Same did the job too....

The Smiths - How soon is now

the rest of their shit doesn't have that effect, but those guitars take you to space. The voice even sounds haunted and atmospheric.

U2 - Bullet the Blue Sky
(Zep [drums and slide] meets Hendrix [noise and feedback] meets Doors [poetic delivery])

Alice in Chainz - Heaven Inside You
(more suited for opiates - very effective)

STP - conversations kill (in a commercial way)

Bloodrock - DOA (any1 remember that?)
