Did Eddie cancel the Deluth 2/25 show because of Valerie going on Oprah?

Fall of 2000. ( I don't remember the exact date.)

David Lee Roth announces he recorded (3) songs with Van Halen, and that "the hands fell of the clock".

Eddie Van Halen the next day.... announces he has cancer.

2007 Rock N' Roll Hall of fame.

Michael Anthony & Sammy Hagar are attending the show.

Eddie Van Halen checks himself into rehab... so he doesn't have to sit next to them!

    2/22/08 - 2/25/08

Eddie appears either drunk or sick onstage at Fort Lauderdale show 2/20/08... tripping over himself... and knockin' over the equipment...

Valerie Bertinelli to make appearance on Oprah Winfrey show 2/25/08 ... to tell the world she had an affair first before Eddie did... then the deluth show is cancelled mysteriously...

LOL....funny stuff. It's interesting to see the quotes of the 2000 recordings. What exactly did he mean by "The hands fell of the clock"? LOL Probably that they really didn't get anything accomplished in all that time.

    Doubt it.

Seems a stretch to imagine in a media world where news cycles are sped-up beyond belief and chock full of stories about pretty much nothing that the timing of anything Valerie does matters much...

She's not even important anymore in terms of celebrity; does it really matter if she had an affair in the context of a marriage and relationship that has been over for years?

Ed's getting drunk, paid and laid. Can't see where it's gonna matter much to him, certainly not enough to cancel a single show over.

    Looks like I was right...

    Val's book caused Eddie's relapse...

I would love to hear the album from the 2000 sessions! Even Fat Mullet, admitted that the album of new tracks, was pretty good!
