VAN HALEN DALLAS, CINCINNATI, RALEIGH, & BALTIMORE CONCERTS POSTPONED

LOS ANGELES, CA -- March 3, 2008
The Van Halen concerts in Dallas, Cincinnati, Raleigh, and Baltimore have been postponed. According to Eddie Van Halen's physician, he is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures.

The March 3rd Dallas concert at American Airlines Center has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2008; Cincinnati's March 5th concert at U.S. Bank Arena has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 22nd; Raleigh's March 7th concert at RBC Center has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 13th; and Baltimore's March 9th concert at 1st Mariner Arena has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 15th.

Fans should retain their tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled concerts or ticket refunds will be issued at the original point of purchase.

Sorry to hear about Ed under doctors care, but to be honest I would probably still be in the bar and Fukk a tour.

It's not the answer.......... rise above baby rise above.

It's gotta be a bitch when your daily crap is front page news .

But having a front page sized check and a possitive look forward may heal this crap.

Ed is worth more than this or any tour.

VAN HALEN TOUR CANCELLED:
Gossip website TMZ.com is reporting all remaining 2008 Van Halen tour dates have been cancelled.

I can confirm, 100% that this is absolutely correct and there will be no further live shows at this time. We can get to the reasons behind this decision in a later update - but right now I can confirm that the tour is off, but I'm told that there is still some hope that dates might be rescheduled at a later date (to be determined at some other point in time...).
I can add that any possible issues with vocalist David Lee Roth are not behind the tour cancellation.

Van Halen's current tour, much like most of their members, has been brought back from the dead.
As we first reported, the group canceled remaining tour dates and hotel reservations through April 19. Live Nation, the company behind the tour, says that Eddie Van Halen is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures. They say these dates are rescheduled starting April 24.

Since this reunion they have actually bothered about releasing
statements via their web-site, so now you have the story..

Its obvious from the last show that EVH is having some dramas..

That's a funny video -- checking in here before going to bed. TMZ.com came before the TV show. They are owned by the company that has FOX -- I think -- anyhow -- I sent them an email of displeasure over the EVH photo choice. It was an old photo and looked nothing like him on this tour. At least they used a current tour photo for the second, yet still incorrect, revision. That story didn't make it to their TV broadcast. Some stuff just gets on their web site.

I don't think its over. Its just one day at a time. It could be any number of things from falling off the wagon (probably), tour fatigue + cancer survivor, arthritis -- I posted a quote from Val's book over in the Bertinelli book thread. She witnessed tech/equip problems at the Toronto concert and said that historically would send him off in a "alcohol-fueled rage." There's been a crap load of sound tech issues. Heck, I've got relative who, one of his many falls off the wagon, was just because he was sad that Stevie Ray Vaughn died.

Maybe these "news" organizations were tipped that some of the hotel booking for the shows that were going to be rescheduled were canceled
and assumed the tour was ending.
They wanted to be the first to break the news and didn't confirm this with a legitamite V H spokesperson.

I assumed it was just another rumour after the last two attempted
Roth/ V H reunions were canceled.
I still wouldn't bet the farm this tour will make it to it's scheduled
finish.
Maybe it's not about Eds problems with booze.
Maybe it's a Val and Ed problem with Wolfie in the middle.

Robert Urich was also cancer free after a long fight against it...then it took him quick. I'm more concerned about what's going on with Ed than i am a concert.
