    Slam Dunk! Vs. Damn Good

Big Trouble & Yankee Rose were both upset.

    Now who do you pick?

The Big Roth comeback in 1998?

Or arguably the best song on skysCRAPer??

There is NO POLL for the finals.

It must be a write in for it to count.

Slam Dunk was an excellent tune.
Skyscraper was the best tune on Skyscraper for me.

    How "bout
Experience, Tell The Truth, Ladies Night, That's Life, Baby's On Fire,
    How "bout Sunburn ....

I'm listening to WA WA That right now ....

Nothing against Damn Good in particular, but if a choice has to be made...

    Slam Dunk is GRATE, a
killer rock tune in the tradition of Hot For Teacher,
    but
DAMN GOOD is damn near the perfect mellow tune.

I still get chills every friggin time I listen..

Matter of fact, I'm gonna go burn a copy of Skyscraper
& pop it in the car on the way to my 'child passenger safety course'

I wish Dave & Ed would do a version of this,
and make a black & white video filled with footage from the old days,
to play on the screen behind 'em in concert.

    Damn Good Obviously.
Slam Dunk is a poorly orchestrated Hot for Teacher ripoff with meaningless Lyrics, Crappy vocals by Dave and shitty production.

DLR BAND was one of the best Rock cd's that Dave put out the entire time he was solo.
I am going with "Slam Dunk"!

Damn Good. I spent hours, days, weeks trying to learn the guitar in that one as a kid. Looks like I'm going to buckle down and make that happen today.

What in particular about Bottom Line makes you think it was a Hot For Teacher ripoff? I could understand if you said Showtime but i'm not seeing the connection with Bottom Line. Enlighten me.....please....

Vai's guitar riff and the drum pattern in the verses and the arrangement of the song. How it breaks down in the verses and goes into that choppy middle section then into the chorus.......it's not exactly like HFT but it always reminded me of it......I don't know...I love both songs really......The Bottom Line and Slam Dunk but I think Slam Dunk is the better song. I don't know....I love both of those albums....I think I tend to favor Skyscraper more because I was a kid when it came out while I was an adult when DLR Band came out.

    Damn Good.

It's the best song on Skyscraper.

Slam Dunk - far from the best song on DLR Band. Now if it would've been f.e. "Goin' Places"...

Elephant Gun. A song which I used to sing to women who I met on dark streets alone in the dead of night. What was the question? Damn Good.

SlaM DunK for sure! I never really liked Damn Good, as it sounded forced. DLR Band cd is grossly over looked and underrated...
