I play guitar in a band called the Treehouse Monks. We play classic rock covers in my garage and these are guys i've been hanging out with since we were teens.

I had a band called Shine Box a few years back.... the rock scene down in S.Florida is pretty dead. Now I use my Mac to record new song ideas. I'd love to get back into playing out though...
I've played for years in the midlands of England with various shite cover bands.
Not doing anything at the moment though.

Do any of you guys ever feel like ramming your singers mic up his ass?
I'm not in a band at the moment, and it's pissing me off...
My last singer died of AIDS, and the one before that I last seen at Hollywood Memorial funeral for some glamrock drummer we knew.
He still dresses like like he's going on a Faster Pussycat audition. Same clothes probably, too. I have many fond memories of us stumbling down Sunset and trying to keep him from begging money off people for booze to keep his high going.
Being in a band is easy if you got a station wagon or a van, and wanna drive around picking up everybody then pay for rehearsals out of your own pocket.
I won't do that anymore.. like these fuckers have the world owing them a favor and they deserve patronage.
My number one bitch about being in a band is watching your band drink or order pizza then stiff you on gas money or rehearsal "aw come on dude" fuck that!
Yeah, the not kicking in thing isn't cool. My last singer couldn't understand why we wouldn't let him have his cheat-sheets on a $8 children's music stand with the floodlight they sell for the elderly to attach to their books onstage...Fuck that...
Ha, for my last band I had to drive 800 miles to NYC for rehersals. The tours were grueling (45 shows in 47 days), and the bass player kept all monies for the sale of merchandise (featuring images of his brother who died in '93). I didn't even get my picture on the fliers for the first year.
Did I mention that the drummer was nearly always naked, and always schizophrenic.
It's a shame that families should be torn apart by something as simple as....wild dogs
But what do you with a singer who's female, bacteriophobic and a bit of a bitch?
No band...jam with friends once in a blue moon..........
I'm going nuts over here, need to get something going. Playing that thing in July just aggravated/reinforced it.
The drummer from my last cover band and I are in the initial stages of throwing a new one together...bouncing basic set lists around and looking for a bassist and singer...hopefully one without a music stand with a floodlight this time....
please, lord...
That drummer from the fest, he's incredibly good. I checked those myspace videos from the band in the 80's and I don't get the whole "bill" thing.
They should be celebrating the drummer! And he's still alive..
I play guitar in a acoustic band right now (2 guitars and a singer). We are great friends and have been playing together for years. We have a great time!
Anything left in that bottle?
I get with a few buddies here and there and show them songs Ive been writing and singing and they help me put music and record them . I call my little nonexistent band Mr Slamdawg. Its all for fun, may do some internet shit with it someday. Got tired of dealing with a band, and some asshole who is tone deaf trying to tell me how to sing, takeing away the joy I feel from doing just that.Or "you can't play that,it doesn't fit our 'style'."
Its better to just get with someone you can trust and elimnate factor asshole from your music.
I'm still a member of Mountain Wood, a southern rock band from the SF Bay area... although we went on a short break back in July of 1985 after 3+ years of touring/club performances 7 days a week... we still haven't decided we've had enough time away from it yet. We'll be back bigger and better than before...
I jam here and there & do some engineering projects/live sound here and there. Not really interested in doing any full time work with a band anymore. Don't have the patience or tolerance to deal with a bunch of childish adults/artists... I'd rather spend that energy on my kids...

Now for a news break
And back to the scheduled broadcast.
It is 7:14 pm. Do you know where your oxygen is?

MICHAEL G. MULLENTo put it simply, we need to worry a lot less about how to communicate our actions and much more about what our actions communicate.
Thanks for the confession. Stop spamming good threads with this shit.
Christ, you're turning into GARvicki...
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!
Yeah, I play in a band. We've released 1 album(cd) and we're in pre-production for our second one right now.
My singer (who fortunately doesn't suffer from L.S.D.) and myself are the principal songwriters for the band. I also handle the production & engineering and mixing in our own studio.
And it sounds pretty damn good, I can attest.
Thanks Brutha!
Wait 'til ya hear the next one. It kicks twice as much ass!!!
But I'll tell ya man, I'm itchin ta hear whatcha got brewin. C'mon let's get some drums a poundin there!!!
I've been playing in bands so long I've become unemployable in the regular world
Doubting you've heard his stuff yet, so you're likely not qualified to make that statement. I have, and the dude knows what he's doing.
But since you're stalking him now too, imagine you'll hear it for yourself soon enough...
Conversely, one imagines your Internet DOUCHEbag persona carries over to real life...I bet you're a fun guy in real-life once you leave your Internet RockARTIST persona logged off!
Currently not in a band.
Used to be in a multi-platinum act that toured for decades.
Does he play a part in the internet-release "album" of your internet "band" too?
The one that none of you have met in real life, but play tracks on thru email?
