Sure, the package is important. And I know Kiss will make it nicely.
    BUT
I read somewhere there's gonna be 10 volumes. Instead of doing it, shouldn't they put out 7 or 8 boxsets with full shows? Give the people what they want (hey, a great Kinks song)...
And for that matter, let me thank you again...

I have read the number ranges from 10 up to 25.I do agree they should do full shows.I had to pay more for my Kissology 1,2 and 3 because I had to get them from the US (They don't seem to do them over in the UK).It would be better value for money and they would probably sell more. But hey youtube and bootleggers are our friend

Looking forward to the Animalize show,The Cobo 09 and the Summit show. Also the "Kids are people too" thing is hilarious.Anyone have any idea when this will be out?.I read 2012 in a lot of places but nothing so far
It looks like there's enough old stuff on there to appeal to me...the band is smart enough to keep enough of that old, classic footage held back for each of the releases...I bought the other three, so chances are I'll get this one.

If the damn thing ever comes out.I have read in a few places it was going to be out 2011.November 2012 was another date and I read a Monster related interview where Gene said it will be this year.Still for around 10 hours of footage I can't wait

Yeah, I would have to say that the various KISSologies are pretty satisfying in terms of getting all that great old stuff out there to the fans in a good package for very reasonable prices. I mean, I can't really say that I watched much of the material involving Bruce Kulick more than once, and even the late 1990s reunion stuff I haven't watched more than twice, but that's just my own disposition: am sure plenty of fans like having all of that material that spans their entire career available. In a lot of ways, the KISSologies are more useful than KISS Exposed, KISS Extreme Close Up or KISS Konfidential...or KISS My ASS, where Gene and Paul are constantly including interview snippets of themselves defining the history of KISS through their own filter of events, where Ace and Peter are the fuckups and the attitude is almost one of KISS being popular DESPITE their being in the band yet all the while the classic 1970s kiss clips are being used as the main selling point. At least with the KISSologies the footage and shows are just put out there for what they are and one can opt not to listen to any commentary.

I saw an ad for this in the recent Guitar World where Ed swept up (the awards). Truly blasphemous once you see it in print. That's not fooling die hards in the way it might slip past the casuals. What a joke. Did Ace not come up with that make-up design/persona that he grew into and lived by all of those years?

I wonder how big of a cut Tommy has to pay Gene and Paul for his signature guitar?

He probably had to sign some kind of deal where by when has run his course Paul and Gene can bring someone else in who they will pay to pretend to be Tommy pretending to be Ace

The Winners' History of Rock and Roll, Part 2: Kiss
How four men in face paint made rock real for a nation

(Part 1 was Led Zep and Part 3 will be Bon Jovi)

"Kiss used concerts to sell all kinds of stuff to fans, starting with albums.
Kiss pioneered the album-tour promotional cycle; before Kiss, bands didn't
coordinate tours with the release of new studio product, or understand
how hit albums could generate better box office for their live shows. Kiss
fans were also known for spending more money on T-shirts, buttons, belt
buckles, and anything else Kiss could emboss its likeness on. Kiss had
turned the rock show into a 90-minute commercial for an immersive,
                              take-home experience."

I have the Rock and Roll All Nite Slot Game T-Shirt , it was a gift from one of the members at the Sport´s Club where I work.
He is not a Kiss fan, but he worked for the Gaming Company and recieved the T-Shirt from Paul himself, when Kiss presented their Slot Game in Las Vegas years ago.
Sometimes I wear the T-Shirt at the Casino here, it´s not my size but it´s fun
