It has always amazed me how some people just decide for everyone else what sucks and what doesn't. Don't like a band? Don't listen. Just shut the fuck up abaout it. No one cares if you don't like them. Unless you're 10-14 years old, no one is going to stop listening to a band because someone else tells you they suck.
Problem with Kristy is that she hates EVERYTHING. Every band we discuss, she says sucks and/or are gay.
Go listen to the Pogues or something and look down upon the rest of us for enjoying rock n' roll.
Stay Frosty, muthas!
Vent thread down the hall to the right.
But seriously, don't let her get'cher goat. It's no big 'ting.
It's "ghey," retard.
Look, if you like KISS then more power to ya. I just don't see the point in following a band that is no longer original, is more interested in selling lame merchandising Chinese made junk to their hardcore fan base and hasn't put out a record worth a shit in over 35 years. KISS were cute when they did their comic book rock but now they're not even a lame novelty touring act - they just suck. Well past time to grow the fuck up and see what else is out there in the world.
I think it's fun convincing her to re-neg on some of those biting words. I've changed her mind a time or two.
Politically, I'm in her corner, so I give her music rants a hall pass.

I've looked all over and can't find a copy.

Arena Football League, KISS Bring Pro Football Back to Los Angeles
Expansion "LA KISS" to begin play in 2014
ARENAFOOTBALLDOTCOM
Aug 15, 2013
ORLANDO – After a five-year hiatus, professional football will be returning to one of the largest and most exciting media markets in the country, Los Angeles. Announced today at ArenaBowl XXVI Media Day, rock legends KISS, Arena Football League (AFL) veteran Brett Bouchy, Doc McGhee (McGhee Entertainment) and AFL Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz are bringing the high-octane entertainment of Arena Football back to Los Angeles with a new expansion team, the LA KISS (www.lakissfootball.com).
"Season tickets are now on sale for what we know will be some of the most action-packed games ever played at the Honda Center," said Paul Stanley of KISS. "Arena Football is played at a fast and furious pace and making season tickets available now for the budget-friendly price of $99 gives a whole new meaning to bang for the buck." Additionally, all inaugural LA KISS season seat holders will be invited to a free KISS concert to take place at Honda Center in 2014! (www.hondacenter.com/lakiss)
“As a fast-paced, high-action band this partnership with the AFL was an obvious fit for us,” said Gene Simmons of KISS. “With Arena Football, you are much closer to the action - sitting in the front row is like putting a folding chair on the hash mark of an NFL game – and it’s one of the only sports where you can experience this level of intensity. Attending an LA KISS game in 2014 will be similar to a live KISS show, with thrilling, heart pounding action.”
The AFL (www.arenafootball.com), which is dedicated to playing and promoting in-arena professional football around the world, will mark its 27th season in 2014. With primetime TV broadcasts on CBS Sports Network every Saturday, and more than 150,000 fan connections each week, the League is poised to expand into homes across the country like never before. This new alliance with KISS will further strengthen the League’s bond within the expansive U.S. entertainment and sports industries. The ArenaBowl XXVI Championship game kicks off Saturday, August 17 at 1pm EST / 10am PST and will air nationally on the CBS Television Network. The broadcast will feature a KISS halftime show on their new “spider stage.”
Honda Center has partnered alongside the band and the team to provide a home for the sport and its newest expansion team. As a world-class sports and entertainment venue, which has consistently ranked among the top in the country, this Orange County arena will serve as the hub for Arena Football fans in the greater Los Angeles area and help the league engage with the more than 22 million people who call Southern California home.
“As the most fast-paced, exciting League in professional sports, the AFL has always been about providing the best form of entertainment to fans directly in their hometowns,” said AFL Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz. “We could not be more thrilled to bring the league back to Los Angeles, and partnering with such incredible rock legends as KISS is certain to give fans a sports experience unlike anything they have ever seen.”
As the founding members of KISS, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have a vested interest in bringing football back to Los Angeles, a market that has always proved fanatical for both music and football. Both Paul and Gene are fans of the AFL and are excited to lend their own unique brand of non-stop action to games in Los Angeles that will blow fans away!
“This is a great business venture for KISS. They are lending their name to a sport which is destined for big things this year. It’s fantastic to have a team named after the band and it is a privilege to be able to support LA and bring the experience home,” stated KISS Manager Doc McGhee of McGhee entertainment, who worked to facilitate the partnership.
“With a global brand in KISS, an ownership group dedicated to showcasing a fast-paced and exciting sport and a world-class venue hosting the action - three great entertainment properties are converging with the overall goal of producing an unparalleled AFL experience for fans,” added Tim Ryan, CEO/President of The Honda Center. “This partnership marks a new era for the unification of sports and music.”
In celebration of this announcement, and ArenaBowl XXVI, a three-day celebration will kick-off tonight with the annual AFL Celebrity Gala followed by a LIVE concert Friday night, featuring none-other than KISS! The ArenaBowl XXVI Championship game kicks off Saturday, August 17 at 1 p.m. EST / 10 a.m. PT and will air nationally on the CBS Television Network. The broadcast will include highlights from KISS’ Friday night performance.

Gene would say Tampax KISS products were an "obvious fit" if he could get away with it (and I wouldn't be surprised if he's tried...)
My karma just ran over your dogma.
Paul Stanley: GOOD PEOPLE!!! WHO HERE LIKES FOOTBALL?!!! There was one time, where I was at a football game....and at the corner of my eye, I see a cheerleader with the biggest TITS I've seen in a lawng time!! And then after the game.....she unbuttoned my tight Levi 501 jeans.....And she pulled out my..............PEOPLE I SAID THAT SHE PULLED OUT MY..............
SHE PULLED OUT MY LOVE GUN!!!
The sad part is, I totally see Paul saying that.
The offense doesn't use the shotgun, they use the Love Gun...
Funniest bit I saw about this today was "It's only Arena League, but it's not like Los Angeles can be choosy." Wait.. j/k
Wasn't LA getting a new stadium, or is that initiative dead?
Love Gun is the first song I ever heard and watched in a giant video screen from Kiss, with my boyfriend down here back in 1977.
I think this show was on Peter´s birthday
I wonder if they'll call the quarterbacks "Kings Of The Night Time World"
Can't wait for the opening game-
The helmets will have the KISS logo.
The players will be done up in KISS makeup.
Every tune between plays will be KISS (not bad)
Let's chip in and get Kristy a season ticket!

Rolling Stone Q&A with Gene - link.
Ace and Peter get ripped again by Gene. Nothing to news.
There wouldn’t be KISS in makeup now without Ace and Pete.
There would have been no KISS in the 80’s without Vinnie and Eric. Vinnie made Paul a better guitar player. Eric forced Gene to lock in.
Paul’s voice is shot. Gene’s voice has been shot since Cadillac Dreams.
There’s a reason the book is about the band’s inception and not the Alive 35 tour. TT is a joke. Singers best studio work was Whiskey Dust on Voodoo Highway not Monster.
My advice to KISS: you left your best years on the stage, exit the stage.
A NATION OF COWARDS - Jeffrey R. Snyder
I just read the majority of the book "KISS and Sell" by one of their management exec's that traveled with them throughout the '70's and '80's....
He gave some interesting details on the various contracts the band had....
What I didn't realize was just how broke dick the band was in the early to mid '80's....
I don't think it's outrageous to say if it weren't for South America, specifically Brazil and Argentina, that KISS might have disbanded by 1983 or so....
There were some shows on tour in '82 and '83 where they were only getting 2,000 tickets sold....
I could be wrong on this, but Kiss seemed to have had a huge resurgence during their hair metal heyday from 84-87, but by the late 80's Crazy Nights tour and then Hot In The Shade after it seemed like they were barely selling 5,000 seats again.
Hence the inevitable putting back of the makeup on in '96.....
But the reason for their brokedickedness wasn't just the loss of the novelty act, it was a combination of the band's incredibly extravagant lifestyles and their stubbornness to simplify things both professionally and personally when they were no longer doing sellout arena tours.....
But the book also was yet another indication of just how much of egomaniac assholes Gene and Paul are/were....
KISS wasn’t broke after 1996. They had a pretty good run by bringing back Ace and Pete; which was the reason for the money influx and returning KISS to something relevant. Look at the acts on the top tours and Gene and Paul still slam Ace and Peter.
