Looks like Ace might lose his house - link:

"A bank is accusing Ace Frehley, a former member of the rock group
KISS, of not paying the mortgage on his Yorktown home for almost
two years. U.S. Bank National Association claims that the rock star,
whose real name is Paul Frehley, stopped paying his $735,000 mortgage
    on March 1, 2011.

In its Feb. 15 foreclosure filing, the bank asked the court to order a
sale of the home to pay for the outstanding principal of $703,581.48
plus interest, late charges and other expenses."

Gene $ could help a brother out and have that paid by breakfast. Or he could tell Ace to go fuck himself and go back to counting his stacks of cash on his throne made out of stacks of cash.

Ain't that the truth ! I wish Ace well. I love the guy. Never got into Kiss too much. I wonder how these guy's lose all their money. Sounds like he has been sober for years. Selling books & guitars with his name on it. Not to mention the Kiss reunion. I don't get it.

    I also wish Ace well.
Maybe he is willing the bank or the county put his house at auction to cut losses.

    http://www.businessinsider.com/ace-f...closure-2013-2

"Right on the heels of the Lohan family's brush with foreclosure, a former KISS rocker is the latest celebrity in mortgage trouble.
Ace Frehley (nee Paul), who played guitar for KISS throughout the 70s and rejoined the band on tour in the late 90s, is on the hook for $735,000 worth of missed mortgage payments on his Yorktown, N.Y. home, the The Journal News reports.
The news surfaced after his bank, U.S. Bank National Association, filed a foreclosure claim on feb. 15.
And the mortgage issue is just the beginning.
Frehley has neglected nearly two years' worth of unpaid property taxes, according to the Journal News. That includes a "2011 lien of $5,131.61 for town and county taxes, as well as $13,425.94 for unpaid 2012 county, school and town taxes."
If Frehley can't come up with the cash, chances are the bank (or the county) will wind up selling the home at auction. And from what little information we have on his case, we're willing to bet that's exactly what Frehley wants.
Frehley reportedly stopped paying on the home two years ago, just a few years after he took over the title on the 3-acre, 2,441 sq. ft. pad back in 2006. Many underwater homeowners –– those who owe more on their homes than they are actually worth –– choose to cut their losses, stop making mortgage payments and simply wait for their mortgage lender to foreclose.
In the meantime, they can start putting their resources into a smaller home or apartment they can afford.
The foreclosure process can take anywhere from under a year to more than two years to complete, so it makes sense we're only hearing of Frehley's foreclosure notice now."

But I'm sad for Ace if he's cash poor - I think all of us wonder how that can be...

Alive II solo - I played air guitar for years on that one (and still do...)

Pretty cool pic from the first date of the Monster Tour in Australia yesterday. KISS is now using the Michael Jackson-esque hydraulic lifts that go over the audience, similar to how MJ used them for Beat It or Earth Song.

Supposedly, Paul is sounding a little better. We'll never have the Psycho Circus-era Paul back, but it's an improvement from the Buenos Aries debacle. Hopefully, he's taking some tips to take care of his voice rather than getting more and more vocal cord surgeries. Like I said in an earlier post, from the beginning, he should have hired a vocal coach like Tom Keifer did to get a good amount of his range back. Even though it's not as bad as KISS fans say it is, for the most part the damage is done.

I read the KISS portions of Peter's book....

Not very surprising, especially if you've read Ace's book.... Peter really slams Gene, to a little lesser extent Paul.... I don't think anyone who has paid attention to this band in their 40 year existence is surprised to read about Gene & Paul extreme arrogance and ego....

I WAS surprised, however, to read about Ace's possible bisexuality, although to be fair Peter did not state that.... He did say, though, that Ace would have no problem with kissing men on the mouth and grabbing each other cocks.... So I dunno, you tell me what that means.... And it's was also hilarious reading about Ace's constant masturbation, in clear view of everyone....

Just as a disclaimer, on both Ace's and Peter's books, I skipped all of the childhood and teenage stuff, I went straight to the part where they met Gene and Paul.....

Here is another if you can get past the poor audio

I think a big problem is they keep vocally challenging songs like crazy night in that Paul can't do anymore.I don't get why they can't switch it around a bit and maybe throw a few more Gene songs in

Call me cynical, but would it come as any sort of surprise to learn that bands (not just KISS) had paid "researchers" on staff, whose primary job was to go through local newspapers for the upcoming towns the band was to visit, looking up key words like "Beth", "Christine", "Shandi" ect, in order to make heartfelt dedications to?

How wonderfully endearing. And how shamelessly pathos inspired.

I think people should cut Paul a little more slack.Paul Stanley is one the greatest Rock frontmen/vocalists of all time. This is a guy who has been singing for a living since the very early 70's,Not just singing easy songs but really pushing to the top of his range.Up until the past 3 years or so his voice has been bullet proof.I know his voice now is no way what it was,And he seems to have lost access to his high register/head voice but what do people expect?.40 years of singing high octane, demanding rock is bound to catch up sooner or later

How wonderfully endearing. And how shamelessly pathos inspired.
I highly doubt that if a KISS fan named Christine is raped and murdered before the concert she was supposed to go to that it would be an appropriate thing to sing "Christine Sixteen"

I do feel like if a KISS fan commits suicide, a proper song for the band to do in his or her honor is sing Reason To Live from the Crazy Nights album. RTL is such a beautiful song about holding on to life.

I don't rate them at their peak never mind now.

It can't be about the music for Ki$$ fans it's more a tribe/club thing.

The music has always been pretty mediocre.

For me it is about the music mostly.I love Paul's voice and i love the songs. There is no deep message behind a lot of the songs,It's just about having a good time. What's not to love?

Kiss isn't exactly "high octane, demanding rock."

Paul Stanley is quite easy to imitate...

Just do Michael McDonald and add a jersey shore drama queen accent and that's it...

Seriously even though some of the music may not be all that hard vocally it is challenging.Listen to Asylum for example,Can you sing any of it?

And what I read "high octane demanding rock" I think Judas Priest, Metal Church, Slayer, Megadeth, etc...

    Not Kiss...

Kiss was seen as pretty much a younger kids band back in the early 80's before they took their make off...

Yeah, but these days I strain on the high stuff just like Stanley does, but he does have nearly 20 years on me...

Stanley really was one of the best live rock singers, especially in the 80's...

He screams homo though, even more than Dave...
