Japan gets the usual bonus track. It's a good song.

Since its Halloween, I remember this premier being on that night...Perhaps honestly one of the greatest acoustic sets ever done ( along with Alice in Chains)

I also love Monster, it is a solid awesome album. I like Hell or Hallelujah, Freak, Shout Mercy, Out of This World is great, I think Tommy Thayer wrote it. For me the weak song is Back to the Stone Age.
What amaze me is how Monster sounds like the Kiss of the late 70´s, it shocked me on the first listen, I felt like I was 13 years again, hahaha , when I heard Kiss for the first time, awesome memories

I have seen them in 1994 and 2009, Kiss has a huge fanbase here, it´s nice to see the old fans with their children and now with their grandchildren too

I took a closed friend to the show, (a new Kiss fan now), I bought tickets on Paul´s side, on my left was a 5 years old child and on my right a 3 years old child, amazing

Due to the high temperatures, 36 C, yesterday half of the city had a energy blackout, no lights, trains and subways and was a chaos everywhere, and many people thought that the show could be cancelled.
As I live 30 blocks from the stadium I can see it from my flat, and the lights were working, so we walked because it was imposible to reach by car. The show started on hour later, at 10 pm. to let people arrive.

They opened with Detroit Rock City, the same song they closed their last show on 2009. What a fantastic, kick ass show!!!, they played 1h 45m. Everybody had a amazing time !!!

    Here is the setlist:

    Detroit Rock City
    Shout It Out Loud
    Hell or Hallelujah
    Wall of Sound
    Hotter Than Hell
All for the Love of Rock & Roll
    I Love It Loud
    Outta This World
    War Machine
    Long Way Down
    God of Thunder
    Psycho Circus
    Love Gun
    Calling Dr. Love
    Black Diamond
    Bises:
    Lick It Up
I Was Made for Lovin' You
    Rock and Roll All Nite

Paul talked a lot with the audience in a very good spanish, excelent pronunciation, he is always fun.
And yesterday was Tommy Thayer birthday !!! We (50.000 people) sang "Happy Birthday" to Tommy two times, he recieved a big cake with candles, and Tommy looked very deeply moved.
I am sure there will be soon a Youtube video of this show :happy64:

Nice to see I Was Made For Loving You made it back to the setlist. They didn't do it when I saw them on The Tour in september with Crue. I just wish that they would crank out some obscure songs like Loves Em & Leaves Em from Rock n' Roll Over. And no Strutter?

Sounds like a pretty good set list.I would like to hear a few deeper cuts though,How great would it be to hear Rock Bottom or Nowhere to run.I am glad they don't do Christine Sixteen anymore,I was watching Rock The Nation yesterday and it just creeped me out hearing a (at the time) 55 year old Gene sing when I saw you coming out of the school that day I knew, I've got to have.I can't wait for them to come over here though

Wow, no "Sonic Boom" songs in the set?

The new CD is a really solid Ki$$ album, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a miserable bastard.

Just been reading of the little back and forth Paul Stanley and Steven Tyler have had recently. Now i know it is all in the name of promotion for the respective new albums but having heard (and enjoyed) both I have to say Monster shits all over Music From Another Dimension. They should team up again and head out on a joint tour.It could be called Monster From Another Dimension Tour

I'm disliking Gene Simmons more and more every time he opens his mouth.... What absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful statements....

    http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.asp...medium=twitter

GENE SIMMONS: 'This Should Have Been The Lineup Of KISS From The Beginning' - Nov. 11, 2012

In a brand new interview with Revolver magazine KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons spoke about the making of the band's latest album, "Monster", their second in a row to feature a lineup rounded out by guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.

"We're so comfortable now, this should have been KISS always: Tommy, Eric, Paul and myself," Simmons said. "We like each other's company, we like playing onstage with each other. And the creative process is just second skin. We could have just as easily gone into the studio and done another record."

He added later in the interview, "I want to go on record: Eric and Tommy have revitalized the band, made Paul and myself realize what lucky bastards we are to be in KISS and to have each other. And this should have been the lineup of KISS from the beginning."

Asked if they are bothered when people complain about founding KISS members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss not being in the band anymore, Simmons said, "Almost nobody does. When you have 3-year-old and 5-year-old fans showing up to our concerts — or even 30-year-old fans — they don't know about Ace and Peter. I mean, next year is going to be our 40th year. We've been touring longer than most of the people who come see us live have been alive. Who's Ace and Peter? By the way, bless 'em both — what I just said doesn't mean that Ace and Peter weren't every bit as important as Paul and myself in the beginning of the band, but not everybody has the same DNA. Some people shouldn't be in a marathon race. They're just not designed for it. Some people are good for short runs."

"Eric's been in and out of the band for 20-some-odd years. And Tommy, too," added Stanley. "The only people who would complain, I think, are people who don't really follow the band at this point. The myth that sometimes surrounds the original lineup is purely myth. Some of it was of our own doing. The whole projecting the idea that it was four guys giving equally. Quite honestly, it was kind of our take on THE BEATLES: four guys that spend all their time together and run down the street jumping up in the air. But it's not a reality. And maybe part of the problem was that some of the guys in the band really bought into believing it. The band always had two people who were leading it and the idea that anybody is entitled to having songs on an album is crazy."

On the topic of why they think they felt like they had to project those myths in the early days, Stanley said, "Well, l think there was a certain amount of truth to it. Just in the sense of you have a band and there's a certain camaraderie, but there's also a sensitivity factor to people feeling minimized or left out. So to avoid that, we sometimes gave people more than their due. In those days, Gene and I shared our songwriting l with those guys because we didn't ever want it to be an issue that anybody was making more money than the other and therefore wanting songs on the album. Well. it obviously didn't work. [laughs] The only thing l did was give money away. [laughs] But all that being said, I've said it before. I'll say it again — we couldn't be here today without what Ace and Peter did in the beginning, and we couldn't be here today if they were still in the band."

Well, everyone knows that everything Gene says must be taken with a grain of salt, whether it's good or bad.

I did like Gene Simmons Family Jewels though, defiently showed his "human" side.

I can't believe Gene Simmons would be that stupid to think nobody wishes Ace and Peter were still there. For the master of marketing and money making he is how out of touch with your fan's can you be.To claim because they have a younger fan base most of the people who go to see them don't know who Ace and Peter are is almost insulting. How exactly does Gene think they got this younger fan base?.I can confidently say it is not from 3 and 5 year old kids picking up Sonic Boom and Monster and thinking "Yeah this is awesome".Does he not understand it is from the parents who have loved Kiss from the start,The original Kiss, wanting to share something special to them with there children. To say most of the fans don't know who Ace and Peter are is disregarding and almost insulting the people who put Kiss where they are now.As for Paul's "the idea that anybody is entitled to having songs on an album is crazy" statement,Tommy Thayer has racked up an impressive number of writing credits on his two albums.I take Cold Gin over Outta This World any day

Forgive me for paraphrasing Alex Van Halen, but the 21st century KISS is nowhere near the 1970's KISS.....

Their entire mystique, never knowing what they looked like for 10 years, combined with their fantastic stage show, made them one of the biggest bands in the world, back then anyway.... I must've had 50 KISS posters on my bedroom wall back then....

But 40 years after the fact, it's the same-old, same-old show.... Simmons' greed, combined with his blatant disrespect to Ace and Peter has really turned me off....

I love Kiss and I always will, but I do prefer Kiss when they were an actual band and not Kiss Inc.

It does piss me off that Gene holds an unhealthy grudge against Ace Frehley while Ace is an incredibly talented man and he's hilarious.

And I keep saying this, if Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer were their own charachters, they would be more accepted by the KissArmy members. But you know what, Gene's is definetly a greedy bastard, but he knows damn well that people will always remember Kiss as Starchild, Demon, Spaceman, Catman.

I tried to read the original interview in Revolver mag but I couldn´t find it.
There are a lot of fans who cannot know all about what greedy Gene says or does, and never saw Kiss live, not even once in their life time.
Gene is 62 and Paul is 60, and still Kiss always bring it live, there´s not much time left, I don´t wish that they die in a plane crash.
I really wish a safe landing to the Kiss Plane, in Asunción, Paraguay. (it is expected to land today between 16-17hs.)
Kiss will perform for the first time for my paraguayan neighbours today at 22hs. It will be a blast and I am very happy for them.
